With all the posters saying Currie is smarter than Hart. I think that he has his man locked down and now willing to pull the trigger and land a big time hire. But then again I’m a believer.

The Haslams have been around for decades. This is nothing new and they were around when Fulmer was fired, Kiffin was hired, Dooley was fired, and now Jones' probable firing. The only thing that has really changed is the AD and we will see how competent he is very soon.

Sorry to be a nega-Grude but Haynesworth specifically said great news for “us VFL’s” as in former players

I doubt this is related to finding a new coach.

Don't stop believin'

I trust Peyton. If he is truly involved as much as is rumored and they are going after Gruden as is rumored....I don't see how this deal doesn't get done. I don't think Peyton wastes his time if he didn't already have a good idea the answer would be yes.

Peyton has always been involved in UT athletics, this is nothing new. He has donated a lot of money to the university

As much as we love our Vols, I'm assuming former players have an affinity for their school/program that we'll never know. So a new coach would mean more to them than even us.

I think that's a stretch to say he specifically means former players. Considering the followers he has, I doubt he would use that term and assume everyone knows he just means players; he would have specifically said players if that is what he meant.

Making Tennessee great again, to me, means more than just for former players.

But, what do I know?
