Don't disagree and it's one reason I didn't share on Sunday. It was a conversation with family friends of theirs that my booster/ church buddy knows well.

Then almost the same exchange came out elsewhere from his sons frat brothers. Maybe it was controlled narrative to help with negotiations, maybe not. I wouldn't do my close friends that way though.

I've not predicted Gruden, only posted what I've been told about the situation. I want him as our coach badly, and want to believe....but I'm in the same wait and see boat. Looks better than good right now, but I know better than to predict it. All I know is this AD and the big-hitters are pulling out all the stops to make a splash hire and fix our program. That's all I can ask for.

100% truth. Unfortunately too many folks on here choose to jump to conclusions instead of reading and seeing it for themselves. For some its easier just to pile on. Folks just need to calm down and be patient and realize things aren't happening immediately. You have been clear and consistent with what you've said. Don't let the knuckleheads pull you down.

In all seriousness, if we miss on Gruden and Kelly, who would be left that would satisfy Volnation? I'm not too excited about the remaining options and it sure as hell better not be Mike Bobo

The more I'm seeing, the more I'm thinking this has been going on since before the season started. If I'm Currie, I sit down at my new desk in Feb, put my favorite pen next to my pad of paper, then call Peyton to ask for his support. My next call is to Gruden's agent. Anyone watching the second half of last season knew it was over. I'd say they were hoping to wait until the end of the season but things have changed.

Despite all the ruckus last night, I trust that the process is still moving forward. I feel like a kid three weeks before Christmas, not wanting to wait.

So if its a booster/church buddy then you must go to Cedar Springs, Concord Baptist, Sevier Heights Baptist or Central Baptist? More likely one of the first two, amarite?

The only thing that I can think of that would be a plus with Mike Bobo would be all the jokes when things went sour.

Patterson would be good. That's probably the only other splash higher that would satisfy everybody.

Lol so VolNugs was the one that stated Jon Gruden turned down the job and then came back two hours later stated this:
VOL NUGS @VOLnugs
Big Beefe (Internet) 2/2 : Any reports that Jon turned them down last night are NOT coming from the AD.
