Why are people so excited about someone who hasn't coached in 10 years, runs a notoriously difficult offense to understand, has a history of not wanting to deal with young players, and has never had any major coaching experience at the college level?

I don't think he was hacked, that thread he started titled "Gruden" is still up and running. If he was hacked I'm sure the mods would've deleted the thread.

I went drinking with a friend from out of town and apparently missed a hell of a show. I browse pretty quick, but can anyone comfirm my cliff notes are complete.

Butch has reached an agreement to resign? Maybe.

But eb4h reached for ecred on that fact and got caught?

Other more trusted sources are not saying Gruden is hired but UT is heavy petting with him?

All these "insiders" are full of ****. They make super generic statements that don't mean anything. And the ones that make predictions are usually wrong, yet people here still hang on their words.

A lot of rampant speculation. More trusted sources are saying we have pulled out all the stops for Gruden. LWS said that we are not even talking to anyone else right now. Some dudes have junk shaped like eggplant. There is a rumor that Butch has agreed to a negotiated buyout and is out at some point soon after Bama. And, we all are still really hesitant to admit that we are getting Gruden as our next coach, but we are all pretty having fun thinking about it.

Side thoughts:

Ron Swanson is the greatest source of all major announcements on VN. He is not directly a source but funnels all pertinent info quickly. Best place to shop for recap as he posts in threads timely on most major breaks. Either scan his qoutes or jump to thread spots where he posts.

With how much Ron reads across platforms if he stopped sharing he could be the greatest faux VN insider on the planet.
