Social media buzz by people that aren’t verified media.

Butch and UT have renegotiated buyout.

Bama will be last game

Fulmer will be named interim coach.

Would be an interesting Monday, one I would get very little work done.

Fulmer running the table and creating a coach controversy for the next guy before he even got hired would be so Tennessee.

The only thing that makes sense about letting Butch coach through Bama is if you name Fulmer interim. I wouldn't want him to take that beating and I don't think he or the powers that be would either. If you're going to name Hoke, who cares? Isn't like he hasn't taken bad losses before and it isn't like he's going to lose confidence or fall apart or something like that. I think if its true that Fulmer will be intern that it makes sense to let Butch take this whipping

I guess I just don't understand why Fulmer would be the best choice. I like the idea of bringing him in as a a consultant in some way so that he can be hands on - but as the head decision maker after 9 years away from the game? Idk.

Fair warning, per mrorange, relaying any rumor from a source, even with caveats, makes you a moron, and may even lead to you "getting what you deserve."

Be careful out there.

But Gruden is a better choice after 8 years away?

There have been rumors of unrest between assistant coaches and I could see that being a good decision to keep that from becoming worse amongst them. Maybe that is reason for it

Besides the obvious like Ziti mentioned, my next question would be the offense that Fulmer runs isn’t even close what we run. How do you tweak that in one week? Such vast differences in philosophy and run sets.

Coach Doug Matthews just made a comment on the radio to illustrate how far Tennessee has fallen…

“When we used to go down to Florida they would throw bottles of piss at us as we left, now they’re buying us beers after the game.”

I miss those piss bottles.

Yeah, but I would settle for a coach that knows to run Jelly 4 times from the 1.

I'm a tech guy. I was good down to atto, but zepto and yocto were new to me.

Sounds like two of the missing Marx brothers...

I'll probably use it to death.

"Honey, when is the game over? I'm ready to go out to dinner."

"It won't be long...give me a yactosecond."

Fulmer has the best interests of the program in mind. Could help hold the recruiting class and roster together better than a Hoke, Shoop, or Scott interim. Those guys will be gone and coaching elsewhere in 7-8 weeks. Fulmer will still be in Knoxville and he bleeds orange.

Let me preface this by saying I don't think Fulmer will be the interim - it seems like something someone throws at the end of a troll to see how far it can go. Lead with realistic information (Butch will be fired) then end with the hook (Fulmer is the interim).

But anyway, if it were to happen, my guess is he's just there for emotional support to the players and he'd let Scott and Shoop run their own systems. I'd guess he'd spend a lot of time with the offensive line.

Random question but If General Neyland was in his prime today but with the same style of coaching he had, would he still be great coach with a how much Football has changed? Imo yes

Which sounds like an actual plan, oddly.

Imagine if your college girlfriend left you for her high school boyfriend, who then dumped her and so she became the side chick for some short, rich dude, and then she left him to go live with some guy in a trailer park in Boca Raton.

That girl sends you a "u up?" text, you don't respond.

You block the f@&$ing number.
