Hey guys, one of my employees has really, really been sucking it up lately. Their performance has consistently dropped over the course of several weeks and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better. Their deficiencies have been pointed out repeatedly, but they refuse to change/alter the way they perform their job. This has caused a toxic work environment in the office because other people's jobs are being impacted. Should I let this individual go, and appoint someone else in the department (that has experience in the role) to take over while a suitable replacement is found? Or, just let the individual keep working through the end of the year and hope things will change? Thanks for your help!

Do you have a large grey trashcan in the office? If so, use it. Thats where trash goes.

SOON!

Many have mentioned that Gruden has that ESPN gig. I think it's important to point out that I think there is only three years left on that contract with ESPN and the NFL. Many believe that ESPN, with their financial difficulties will never be able to secure that contract again. Also, they pay about twice as much for the one game as do NBC, CBS, and Fox pay so it's speculated the next contract for MNF will be for less money. I'm not sure they can keep paying Gruden that kind of money for that game regardless of who the broadcaster is.

It depends, is there a pattern of dropping off, or is it a one time brand new thing. If it's brand new, you should approach him with a what the heck is wrong, you have a chance to fix it, but if it's a repeatable offense, get rid of him and cut your losses.

Didn’t mean strictly power I. A pro set offense. Shotgun is incorporated in that. Power spread is gimicky IMO. In any case I want to see a offense playing bully ball.

If I could give more than one like I would lol and that guy....is gonna get...... Get.......IT!!!

I've never (to my memory) used the ignore button except during the 2012 & current Gruden threads.

I've added about a dozen fine folks to the list in the last week or so.

I've decided that from now on, I'm gonna use this pic everytime I add someone to the list ... the list of preacherwebbicho.
:)

If all your employees are as incompetent as that employee and your on the hook for $9million regardless of whether he's working or not, I'd make him at least sweat a little.

I believe if you know that the Department is going to take a blood bath financially (big loss) at the end of this week because this person didn't do what they were supposed to do to control the department and make sure it was making money (winning) then you wait until the end of the week, show the loss, and dump the person.

Okay, I'll just say this as another little hypothetical, thinking out loud type of statement.
I hope Coach Gruden someway, somehow, gets Al Wilson involved. I know he doesn't have his degree yet (that's right, ain't it?) so he won't be on paid staff with a position title and all, but if we can have a VFL DJ, can't we have a VFL Motivator. Let him lead the team in the maxims. Make him the get-back-coach. Anything to have his fire and leadership associated with the team.

Maxim's Coach & Get Back Coach Al Wilson. Make this happen!

Al Wilson as the get-back-coach... kind of like the office linebacker?

Block VolNation from his computer and his productivity should improve.

It isn't that cut and dry, unfortunately.

I would say they have been reading this thread like the rest of us. So give them a break and ask them for the latest info.

I choose to believe! SOON!!!

Does your employee's name rhyme with Kyle, Hutch, or Cones?

Something needs to happen soon, I leave for a year long tour in Greenland with limited internet. I'm basically off work for the next 2 weeks. This thread is awesome, yet so addicting. I can't wait until something is announced!

People go away on trips like that and come back blown away to crazy news like a reality tv star becoming President of the United States or something while they were gone..

My source tells me that Source is going to fire this guy after he forgets to put the new cover sheet on his next TPS report and he will hire Gruden.

You guys are insane. There is zero percent chance that Gruden comes here. He's living the dream life without having to do anything like recruiting, putting up with boosters, and worrying about every single call.

I assumed you guys were joking but I see many that have actually convinced themselves that this is going to happen.

Pure insanity.

For the record, I'd love it too. It's just not going to happen.
