I posted this before, but will again. I have a greater chance of being the Pope than Butch has of being the head football coach at UT next season. And I am a Protestant.

Anticipating the flogging, but...have you noticed how you all are the ones leaking said information that is “getting out”.

Seems very...self fulfilling.

What's being worked on now is essentially a memorandum of understanding, which I'm certain contains contingencies along the lines of "in the event that the position of head football coach is vacant within the next 60 days, the parties hereby announce their mutual understanding as follows."

Well it isn't self fulfilling to me. The info has absolutely nothing to do with me... It's Boro that received the news. I did think about that before posting, but I have no means of communicating with Boro other than on this forum so I asked anyway.

Wait aren't you the one who posted the story about Gruden being in NJ today and telling your buddy he would have to "Wait and see" when asked if he was coming to UT?

Then a story was posted showing Gruden isn't going to NJ until Saturday?

Ehh I hear bits and pieces of stuff but they've really filled in all the borders for me. I never have any breaking news and I generally lurk so i dont post often but I lean a bit more towards trusting them than not. Totally get your skepticism though. Hard to trust anyone through this

Yep, that's the story. I was too young at the time to remember in detail, but my parents recalled they moved all the UT coaches to the now-defunct Deane Hill Country Club which was located across from West Town Mall. At the time, Cherokee had a non-admittance rule for African Americans. They've since lifted that restriction (I believe a few years after that debacle, and then UT moved all the coaches back to Cherokee CC), but that's how the story goes.

Heavy lurker, rarely comment, but felt I could contribute a bit to this post. After 9 years in VA, it's glad to be back in Knoxville at UT for grad school. Y'all are awesome and provide quality entertainment :rock:

As soon as any MOA is negotiated and ready for signature, Butch will be fired. They can’t be out there signing agreements while they still have a coach.
