This is an excellent question. I think the only answer is the possibility that he really doesn't want to coach/ doesn't want to coach here/college/etc. It is possible that he wants to do it in the hypothetical but has a hard time really signing his life away. My husband was a head coach, and we literally would go days on end in season without seeing him. Gruden knows this reality already so it might be hard to think about going back to it in reality.

Well his wife Cindy has parents that live in Jeff county if I read correctly and she would want to be close to them...happy wife happy life.

When my husband and I discussed Ron Swanson's revelations last night we agreed that makes TN the only job he is likely to take.

Lived in the Akron Canton area(1 exit up from the HOF) for 1 1/2 years. Worst time in my life. Was 45 minutes from Cleveland and 1 1/2 hours from Pittsburg. Pittsburg was 10 times better than the craphole that is Cleveland.

I had to spend two weeks in Akron for training with a company several years back. It should have been a warning.

I agree, each trip was a bad one. Ciny is great to visit, but I never want to go to Cleveland ever again.

I've been to Cleveland 3 times and instantly deemed it the crappiest city I had ever been to. The last time I was there was in the dead of winter so I concluded that was worthy of naming it my top three worst places to have been in one trip. What a sh!t hole!

I spent a month there one week for work.

Only Ohio could put the rectum of the state at the very top.

Being from Ohio, i don’t find your assessment to be accurate. Cleveland has come a long ways; the Browns have an awesome newer stadium, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is next to it along the lake, which is cool, and the Flats, which 20 years ago was having problems, is really a nice destination now. The area near the Cav’s arena is really nice, and the Indians stadium is part of that area.

There are parts of any town that aren’t the best, including Knoxville(which I love).

Been looking for a L.C Smith 12 or 20 gauge in real good shape. I have a 16,looking to get the rest.

Good luck. People seem to be hanging onto the good ones, and the traders push the price on that stuff sky high.

I'll keep an eye out at the next show at the end of the month.

Their football team's uniforms are indicative of how crappy their city is

It's amazing what you can get used to I guess.
