The reason that I'm super confident at the present time is because there is no Hart to mess up negotiations..It's a Hart-free zone..Just has a different feel to it..That said, I'm at 65.25 percent in my confidence level.

If y’all think Cleveland is bad, you should visit Jackson, MS. I have been to every state in our country. The two crappiest cities I have been to are Jackson, MS and Lawton, OK.

I know this is a simple question but if the money is right this time and we let him build his own staff, what would be the reason or reason"s" why he would turn down the job? I'm looking for all angles and if was Dave Hart refusing to pay for his staff last time it would seem to me the odds are much better this time around. Fertile recruiting grounds and the roster is there to compete at a reasonably high level from the start.

Lived in the Akron Canton area(1 exit up from the HOF) for 1 1/2 years. Worst time in my life. Was 45 minutes from Cleveland and 1 1/2 hours from Pittsburg. Pittsburg was 10 times better than the craphole that is Cleveland.

Negative posters in the Gruden thread trying to tear him down. That's the ONLY thing that will keep this from happening.

This is an excellent question. I think the only answer is the possibility that he really doesn't want to coach/ doesn't want to coach here/college/etc. It is possible that he wants to do it in the hypothetical but has a hard time really signing his life away. My husband was a head coach, and we literally would go days on end in season without seeing him. Gruden knows this reality already so it might be hard to think about going back to it in reality.
