Not sure why everyone here gets their hopes up on Gruden during every coaching search. Guy hasn’t coached in a decade and makes what? $7 million a year talking football? No way he wants the college grind. Zero.

That's some amazing wisdom coming from Florida. Thanks you for enlightening us.

Maybe he's competitive and wants to get back into coaching.

You forgot the "won the Super Bowl with Dungy's players" part of the post.

Who said he wasn’t a good coach? He also took the Raiders to the Super Bowl. I’m saying he wasn’t realistic after Fulmer and nearly a decade later he still isn’t. We do this every coaching search and then there’s a huge meltdown when he’s not the guy.

The entire, "won with Dungy's players" thing is so absurd. First off, he won. Tony Dungy didn't. Tony was a great coach and proved it in Indianapolis but the Bucs gave up draft picks to get Gruden. When have you seen that happen before?

Second, it's a GM who picks the players with some assistance from coaches.

Sounds like what I am hearing as well. I will send you an email to confirm. 👍👍

Alright. Here we go. I'll claim my brother in laws former roommate details Grudens car on weekends. I'll then tell a tale of rumors of said car retailer has been notified he's no longer going to be needed as the Grude family is moving to Knoxville. You confirm anything I say no matter how far fetched it is. I'll like all your posts backing me up. You like mine and as a well oiled machine we can stack up the likes and ecred. Of course when it all proves to be BS, we'll just swear talks broke down, this stuff happens, and maybe next time. WE STILL GOT THE LIKES!! Likes are like lunch money, and we ROLLIN!!

Aww crap! I should have waited till you emailed me to say all this. SOB!!

What's gonna happen is Butch will be fired and replaced. We have no idea who the actual next coach will be. People who claim to have sources have shared their information. Either it's true or it's not. If it is, it sounds promising, but is still no indication we will get who we want. Deals fall through. If they're trolling, just enjoy the ride. Laugh about it, because the level of Grudenmania some have achieved is funny. None of us has any control over who the next coach will be. Whoever they hire, some will be excited, some will be disappointed. At this point, all we can do is wait and see what side we fall on.

PERFECT! :clapping:

PS/ he said he thought I was measuring him for his casket .. lol

That is truly what he said. lol

Met Johnny at the TN Sports HOF Golf Tournament yesterday. He walks up and introduces himself and shakes my hand and his next questions is “do you have any jack daniels?” Lol, true story.

Johnny had me cracking up every time he spoke yesterday.
