Petrino is laughable, not happening. Brohm could be possible if a few people were to say no.

IMO if the man doesn’t say no after the first day...it means he is willing to come for the right price ,power and $ for his staff. I believe ad makes it happen. You will never convince me that him, his wife, and his family have not already discussed it in depth and what if.

He can barely manage to win 8 a year at UT. Hard to see him winning 7-8 games a year in Corvallis.

Not saying he’d hit that every year. Referring to his ceiling. I think he could probably manage to get them bowl-eligible most years though.

Gruden would instantly make us relevant again. But screw relevant. I want us to be feared. I want teams to dread th day they play us. I want Bammers, Turds and Bulldogs to shat a brick when they see us play. I don’t know that we were ever feared even when Phil was coaching. But that’s what I want and dang it, the Grudencopter will bring it.

Good to see your around OV...I'm proof positive of the wisdom of keeping what you know to yourself.

Anyone who revealed anything they heard last time was mocked and ridiculed something awful last time.... will be the same what ever happens....

People hear only what they want to hear and believe only what they want to believe.....

Having said that, I have posted what I have heard and it is simply this...

1. Butch is gone
2. Timing is not set
3. We are willing to spend to get a Big name this time
4. No Name given, but I would be happy

Then I heard after Saturday...

People very upset with Butch and wanted him gone right Now... then heard cooler heads prevailed....

Have heard nothing else...........

He would make us feared. Gruden is a rockstar celebrity that happens to be a coach. This is like john madden saying I'm gonna coach again. It's surreal. Coaches and his piers look up to him

Im just a guy. I have friends who are connected to UT athletics and some that are former coaches. I just know what they have said and compared that to other folks who have connections as well.

Similar things are being said across the spectrum.
