Plus half the game in college is talent acquisition. Tennessee already recruits pretty well. But put him with his name recognition and charisma at Tennessee with our resources and the growing instate talent base and you have a guy who will challenge Saban as the best recruiter in college football. We would be pulling #1 recruiting classes every year. And unlike Butch Jones he won't squander the talent with horrible decision-making.

Jon Gruden at Tennessee = Nick Saban at Alabama 2.0

We would become the dominant program in college football.

He would challenge Nick Saban and Urban Meyer immediately for #1 recruiting classes.

Plus he would be walking into Tennessee at a time when our instate talent pool is at an all-time high.

Gruden could field a top 5 recruiting classes in 2019 and 2020 with just instate kids. That how loaded the instate recruiting base is at Tennessee now.

Good morning all, spent the last hour catching up on the overnight posts. I wouldn't be surprised if today is a quiet day. I noticed a propensity to argue during the night when info is slow. We're all on the same team, soon! Have a Grudeacous day all!!!

Not yet spoken to the person I trust implicitly in all these type situations. I try not to bother him and I wouldn't be able to post what he told me anyway. He does certain tasks for the most prominent booster of UT. In 2012 one of the tasks involved Jon Gruden. The information from him lined up with the Times Free Press version of events. I heard this from him before the TFP reported it. I will try and call him today. If he Volunteers anything, I will ask him if I can say if it lines up with other information already out on here or not but won't go any further with it.

You sound like me. The person who verified how close we were last time was deeply involved in the negotiations and process without being responsible for the outcome. He could tell the truth without fear of egg on his face. He said it was just as Hargis said. Here's hoping they don't piss it away again!

Grude morning. I went to bed about 800 posts ago. Tried to skim thru, but got off on a tangent, wondering if a .380 for Christmas equals pocket presents? Nevermind, I keep a .32 gun in my pocket for fun. Then I found myself, right back where I started, again. Don't mess around with Jon.

So I'm legit quite drunk. Sitting here with my best friend, lurking on Volnation when we suddenly have a moment of drunken clarity. We start a game... in this game, the point is to take a movies title and in some way twist that movie title into something to do with Jon Gruden. Here are a few examples.
Star Wars: The Gruden awakens. Remember the Gruden. Gruden Bond, 007. My Big Fat Gruden wedding. Alone came a Gruden. Gruden Goes To Jail (ernest goes to jail reference). How Gruden saved christmas. Touched by a Gruden. Game of thrones.... Gruden is coming. The gruden that was promised

This probably isn't the right thread for this but.....i was looking around twitter (which I totally hate btw), and I came across the pic. Wondering if this crap comes down when we can butch?

And why is our NC trophy under the stairs?

I don't like twitter either. I literally use it for Vols, Titans, and Gruden searches lol also if something big happens they are the first to share it.

You are correct. Most are a student of the game. Gruden is a student of the game inside of the game.
