I'm busy working all day on a Sunday and I come back to the Best Damn Thread on Volnation, and you guys are all down and droopy! What gives?

How does one explain away that Jon Gruden and Butch Jones are friendly towards each other?

Jones has had Gruden at multiple practices and multiple games.

Maybe that’s “hey business is business” kind of thing.

Or maybe that’s why Gruden sat in the stands.

But, I’m just saying, it’s the only piece that feel awkward about it all.

All that to say, nothing will be official until November.

Or is it? If he is the slight bit interested that could force Currie to throw everything at Gruden to get him to come. Like an all in type move. More will to spend if that's the only option

Some of you are just plain psychopaths

Butchs job is safe for the season..look for currie to come out and reiterate his support for butch jones sometime in the next week

The macgruber talk is funny, like it was several years back when many thought he was surely coming here then

if he has any interest at all then i don't see how they mess this up. money and power, give it to him. 7, 8, 9 mil per? give it to him.

So...like Guz Malzahn and Chizik? Look of Gruden does see UT as a dream job, Butch won't be an issue here. Also, if they are really that good of friends, you don't get pissed at ur buddy for taking the job you sucked at and wanted out of.

Got to have a back up plan in case Butch leaves us this off season for the Patriots job.

I hear it’s down to them and Alabama. He is deciding whether to stay at the college level or try the pros.
