Sounds like a great theory VolPunch and is really the only thing that makes sense as to why Butch is still the coach-but doesn't that pose some risks as well such as lost ticket sales on remaining home games as long as Butch is on sideline,more recruits recommitting,players transferring or quitting,horrible perception by media regarding Butch,etc? Of course we get Gruden and all is forgiven😀

It does, but I'm just trying to make sense of it at this point. Most top tier schools would have canned him by now.
