Hoping Butch is our Mike Shula.
Hes on his way home from the game. Baldy said he was a booster. Not a Haslam level booster but he still gives a lot. He owns several successful business and teaches business, occasionally at a university near where he lives. I imagine with his donation, he has access. He has mentioned before that he was somewhat involved with hiring our previous coaches. Do yall not pay attention to what the man posts?
The thing that still kills me about Jones is his blatant refusal to adjust the game plan. These coordinators have to know they gotta change the scheme when something doesn't work! It doesn't make a lick of sense!
This is the perfect post.1. Loss of control regarding S&C resulting in players neglecting S&C and running things as they see fit
2. Maddening personnel decisions
3. Clock / game / end game management
4. Becoming increasingly conservative and cautious, discarding elements that brought early success
5. Inflexibility to allow coaches to implement their offense or defense
6. Failure to deliver championship appearances in what was largely the weakest East division in years
These are the unfortunate ingredients of Butchs failure to prove he is the coach we need
Here's the thing: there's no longer the worry that Butch is going to turn this thing around and rally the team. While we all assumed it was so, the South Carolina loss seals the deal. I would rather they fire him this morning because I think there are some advantages - but in reality it doesn't matter that much. He's gone. They're not going to beat Alabama or Kentucky.
There's so many things wrong with the team. CB play is awful
WR group is on existent
OL is just bad
Just so funny how the media was drooling over the OL in the off season. We have 10+ guys returning with starting experience. Well if only 1 of those 10 are SEC caliber OLman and one is 18 years old.... lol
