Kirby has GA looking really good, Florida is not going to stick with McElwain for much longer. Saban is not going anywhere. We have got to get a GREAT head coach or we are going to be stuck in mediocrity for a long long long time.
I have figured out the difference in the calls. The being alone time is usually only a day or two. The other is longer, sometimes quite a bit longer. That is the part that is hard to understand. I know it can't be easy on him, but he still keeps on doing it. He says he's doing it for us. Can't someone else do it now? He's too old and doesn't need to anymore, right?
Husband just texted. said he's called our pilot and is leaving Knoxville. He said he spoke his mind, using his I guess renowned colorful language, and the rest is up to the others. He seemed pretty upset, but I can't be sure. He keeps the Tennessee football side of things pretty tight, just like he does other things. I don't know if that means anything to you guys or not. My husband can be hard to read sometimes. Ok. Most of the time.
What are you talking about? What game were you watching? His passes weren't off like that. His pocket presence wasn't good which is to be expected right now. But he was much more competent and "ready" than the starter.
Coach has to take the reigns off. The last pass was better than anything Dormady has thrown. WR has to make that catch with the game on the line.
The only criticism I have on JG is that he stood in the pocket too long a couple of times. I think he gets better at that with more experience. His throws, when he was allowed to make them, looked very good.
I think a competent coach could have put him in better situations . He has a cannon. Quick passes . No imagination on the coaching staff. Kinda makes you wonder if Dormady is also a victim of the staff.

My opinion, any QB is going to look worse in a horrible scheme and little blocking. Guarantano still knows that throwing the ball away is better than taking a sack.
He's just trying really hard to prove himself and make a lot happen. It was also his first start at a young age. I believe he will improve upon the little things with experience and maturity. He's just having to learn through trial by fire instead of development.
But I definitely agree with your point. The fact that Dormady looked better in the first game against Georgia Tech than he did against UMass, paints an unkind picture of what the qb's are dealing with.
