Man...half-hearted or not, I think you're the last person on here even remotely supporting CBJ at this point.

Yeah maybe. That loss last week has been hard to integrate into my thinking. Mainly I'd like to see these players have some success now. Am not sure how that happens.

Predictable as in how exactly? Just bc plays aren’t working doesn’t mean they are predictable.

The 2nd half was exactly how Muschamp planned. They went straight press man mostly in cover 1. They took Kelly away and JG and our WRs couldn’t separation or make a big play. We had plenty of opportunities for 50-50 balls on vertical routes but what if JG just wouldn’t pull the trigger?

100% accurate. They filled the box. Run blitzed the S and filled every run gap. Put CB's on islands and dared us to make plays on perimeter. And we can't. WR's get no separation. Oh until USCe goes to prevent Cover 3 on last drive and UT fans think we all the sudden "opened up the playbook!" lol

The offense is hapless either way but at least JG breathed some life into things despite it all. The issue this year (aside from Jones) has been Scott's horrific playcalling.

Not making a claim that Scott is a good OC. I don't think we can fully know that yet. But I don't know what magic you expect out of the OC when teams are able to play press coverage with no help and run blitz the safeties and the WR's and QB's you have are not able to win any 1on1's.

JG is good right now and I think he has special upside. Just needs more experience. This was his first time actually running the offense.

Butch runs an offense made for maybe pop Warner. How many times did we run that one play to the outside with JK? Where were the crossing routes? Slants? Outs? We get trying to go deep and it wasn’t there. Butch is bad. Time to move on. The players deserve so much more than this.

I literally have no idea what you were watching.

Nobody is saying that. But up until that series JG has thrown 10 passes. They were not letting him throw the ball. In that series he proved that he is an accurate QB and he made some great throws, even the last one was on the money. Had he been passing more during the game who knows what would have happened. Butch shackled JG like he used to shackle Dobbs. Get this guy outta here

Wife's cousin hit me with a roll Tide on FB.

Trying really hard to not make upcoming holidays awkward. So I won't mention how I knew she was a Bama fan by her white trash , no job having, "hey do you smoke" questions at a funeral home, reeks of alcohol at 11 am on Sunday, asks to borrow money every time I see her on Facebook.

I had to say that somewhere.

Very thankful that my future in-laws have no interest in CFB.

It had a little too much heat on it, IMO. Definitely should have been the game winning TD, though. Definitely was good enough. Johnson HAS to make that catch.

You have to fire an out in there with tight coverage. The placement was Dan Marino perfect. That WR has to, Absolutely has to, make that catch.

Dang we need to just hire Frost. Fire Butch today, lock Frost down this week, and make sure he’s in Knoxville come December

Do it anyway

Zero chance of a coach negotiating during his season. If it's Frost we won't know anything until regular season ends.

I was at the game. I saw a competitor. I saw a guy that was emotionally invested. Never got that vibe from dormady. JG has the arm talent to make all the throws. We refuse to get our wideouts in space. No creativity. I’m pumped to see what a guy like frost or brohm would do with JG. He’s got the intangibles. Needs the coach to get him where he can go.

Creative Offensive coaches make a living off press man, at that point it’s about match ups. You can get their 3rd CB or safety matches up on your #1, He’s FOOD!
We don’t play to our WR strengths,we haven’t in 5 years of the Butch Jones regime.
Heck we have a RB who should be carving LBs up in space and not just in screens ...

You might want to use a more accurate stat-dropbacks. We tried to throw more passes than that. No WR got open. Guarantano either got sacked or ran for a few yards. The best thing that Guarantano did today was not force throws, which Dormady has been doing when he didn't have open WR's.

And....I thought we just spent weeks screaming that we have one of the best RB's in the country and if our coaches were smart they would just hand it off to Kelly over and over again. So now we didn't throw it enough?
