Indy it would not surprise me one bit if D4H was your troll/pot stirrer account lmao. I personally like D4H. He stirs the pot and gets all the uptight football forum posters all wound up.

I could only dream of being that good. But thanks for the compliment, my good man. D4H is on another level. A few years back there was another guy in the FB forum called Beattie Feathers who was also pretty hilarious and always got the masses riled up.

Beattie Feathers sounds like a troll for sure lol.

Anyone do the Vols Pass for season tickets last year? Basically you pick your seat for every home game 2 hours prior to tip off. Only $99. I feel really good about the team this year and I'm thinking about getting a pair. Didn't know if anyone had reviews about them

I haven't, but thought about it the last couple of years. Let us know where your seats are, if you pull the trigger.

Random question: Did Fulkerson get the medical RS?

Maybe not officially, but he meets the criteria. I don't know if there's an official ruling or not until the extra year is actually in play. It's not a redshirt, it's a medical hardship waiver. He (1) didn't play in more than 30% of the games, he (2) didn't play in the second half of the season, and he (3) had a debilitating, season ending injury. It may not be official, but it seems if he wants an extra year it will be granted.

He listed on the roster as a redshirt freshman, you calling Tennessee liars?!?!

I highly doubt they're assuming, just because they didn't publicize it doesn't mean he didn't get it TGO

A lot of times there's a press release after the conference makes a ruling. Maybe they don't do that anymore due to HIPAA.

If he's listed as a redshirt Freshman, that's not really accurate. He's probably "officially" a Sophomore rather than a RS Freshman. It's deceptive on the published roster because athletes can take only one redshirt year and Fulkerson hasn't done that yet. I believe that he can still play zero minutes and take a redshirt. If he's already, or will, receive a medical hardship waiver it will allow him to stay one more year beyond "5 to play 4". But with the roster that's published for the fans not interested in the details, it's simpler to list him as a RS F. They might not use an asterisk on his classification because it's possibly not yet official. He has 3 more years to play and as long as the application for a medical hardship isn't denied by the SEC and the NCAA, then he'll get to play 4 more seasons.

I'm not positive, but I think he can elect to take an actual redshirt and have 5 more years to play 4.

Bottom line is that since he wants a MHW, Barnes indicated they're requesting one, and he clearly meets the 3 criteria, he can play 4 more seasons at UT.

Edit: Now I don't think that Fulkerson can elect to take a voluntary redshirt. He'd need another MHW to get a 6th year. NCAA 14.2.4 leaves it pretty vague. The conference rules on giving a year back with a MHW when conditions outside of the player's control (debilitating injury) prevent them from playing a full year. The NCAA can extend the 5 year clock for military duty, missionary work, and injuries.

Come on man.. do you really not understand how this works?

You and BTO have argued about this for over a year and you still don't get it. It's a fairly simple concept.

You're better than this.

That's not correct. I've always said that there are 3 criteria in order to obtain a medical hardship waiver. Posters were trying to convince me that there are only 2, that the third one does not matter.

Fulkerson absolutely did not "redshirt". BTO asked me if UT is lying. I'm saying that they're using RS-F on the roster for simplification. They expect to be granted, or have already received a double secret, MHW.

I actually do "get it". I understand it... I've read the NCAA rule. Why does that bother you?
