On a positive note: defense hasn't quit.

... and, just like that, we are tricked into burning a timeout on defense. This is a corollary to the bad clock management trend with this staff. We are like a boxer that leads with his face (and has a glass jaw). Can't afford to compound the problem with not being ready.

Butch also waited till year 5 to hire a QB coach, and even then hired a washed up running back coach to fill the position. It's year five, this goat-rodeo that we see week in and week out is all on the head coach.
