Yeah they had pretty close to elite talent they had the 9th ranked team and second behind fsu in their conference. We were 14th and sixth in our own conference.

Why can't 7 play safety in that set?

Chip Kelly and Butch Jones aren't even close to being on the same level IMO. I think Kelly could take this team and go at least 9-3. Would have beaten Florida and pounded UMASS into submission.

Clemson is ranked lower in team rankings because they sign less than other teams. Based on average ranking they signed a top 5 class for the class of 2017. The year before they signed 21 recruits, the only school in front of them that signed that amount or less was USC(21). And every school in front of them except Uga(23) and Auburn(24) signed at least 25

As soon as he bites on a play action or makes some sort of mistake he'll be replaced with Jumper. Or at least that's how it went down at Florida.

Clemson is killing it. Their run right now is better than ours in the late 90s.

But it does give me hope. Clemson's only advantage over us (albeit a big one) is they are in a weaker top to bottom conference (in normal years - the SEC looks bad right now).

If we don't end up with Kelly or any other "home run" hire, I'd be perfectly content with Venables. Excellent X's and O's coach and an excellent recruiter. Coached under Snyder, Stoops and Swinney and likely would draw a top staff. Yep.
