I honestly have no clue if any of this is true. But if you watched the UMASS game objectively, then your eyes should have shown you something is off. I am not saying its anything serious, but something was not right about that game.

We have seen some sloppy, uninterested Butch Jones teams but against UMASS, it was on a whole other level. I hope its nothing serious, but there seems to be enough smoke to at least say there is a little fire here.

I know your right and I know bad things are going on. A real good childhood friend of mine who I grew up with is the mother of one ex player OL who basically didn't come back this year to play. She says she really liked Butch at first until she found out what kind of person he was and that's all she will say for now. She says she will remain quite until he is gone which she is hoping soon to save the program but lots of our players aren't happy right now and there is lots of stuff going on right now.

You talk to enough people around here you hear this same story over and over. Once you reconcile it with our turnover of key players you start to see a pattern.

Situation. If they come out rocking then there isn't a problem. If they get blown out then well, cbj is who we thought he was....

ok, it still doesn't explain why these kinds of threads matter.

for the better part of the 3 years we've had plenty of reason to debate the merits of whether or not this guy is "the guy" for this program. and the vast majority of the reasoning used, for or against, has been football related, more or less. and there's more than enough information just on the field that can justify his ouster, and there may be more to come in the coming weeks.

i don't know if any of this is true. i don't know that it's not. and i don't know that any of the people posting are truly that much in the know as they say they are. i have an inkling of who probably is, and isn't, but i digress.

i do know that what i've seen over the last 3 years has led me to believe that what we've seen is what he is, and that's not good enough...and ultimately that will wind up being a reason he's fired.

if this locker room stuff turns out to be true, it's just gas on a fire. if it's not, he probably still gets fired anyway if the season keeps in the direction it looks to be going in.

so i just don't get the purpose behind it. just me.

Good point. Another question would be why CBJ would recruit a player who doesn't fit his offense and play him over AK ( until JH left the team). I would hope a creative coach would find a way to make use of a good player even if it meant making some changes to the offense. Rigidity is not always a positive trait.

If he can't turn around, there won't be a more ideal time to bring a new coach into UT than this year.



de1conley apparently has some direct and indirect sources not only to the program but to the team. If there was a problem and it got resolved... why would that be unbelievable? None of the stuff you pointed to proves that what the OP said was untrue. Maybe TKjr is reflecting on the "good" after dealing with some "bad".

The issue is whether there is a systemic problem as might be suggested by linking several things together or if this is just "one of those things".
