Well, six years ago this evil drugged out scum bag kidnapped a 20 year old nursing student from her porch on the way to school one morning.
He took her to a friend's deceased grandma's barn and gang raped her with his friend, who later hung himself from guilt, and his younger mentally challenged brother who he controlled and abused.
After that he either beat her or drugged so bad he assumed she was dead and rolled her into a rug and put her in a truck. Then he and another friend who wasn't in on the rape/kidnap/murder agreed to help him dispose of the body.
They took her to a refuge under the river bridge to dump her, but she moved a little. She was still alive. The main bad guy then grabs her by the head and blows her brains out.
They flee with the body out of fear someone may have heard. From there the two men separate. The main bad guy goes onward elsewhere to dispose of the body himself at another location. Huge search party efforts ensue in the community. HUGE. Nothing turns up. The killer is suspected by the family and community, but law enforcement cant figure it out. Years later, they find the body. One of the rapists commits suicide and leaves a confession letter telling all and implicating the killer and abductor, Zach Adams. Guess what. Inadmissible in court. But it did make it obvious to law enforcement and the prosecution they had
their man. Then they get what they really needed. The guy who went to help dispose of the body witnessed the actual murder and decided to admit his own involvement and tell the whole story under oath. Everything he says that can be corroborated is corroborated. Star witness. Then you have multiple people testify to Adams talking about what he had done. Even death threat messages directed at his mentally challenged brother as well as an attempted murder for hire on him. Too many different people who are unconnected to say the same things for it to be a coincidence. Then you have the murder weapon found in a pond when the star witness tells that the other rapist who killed himself had traded it to another man. The other man confirms he obtained the weapon and had it disposed of in the pond. And they found it there.
He's guilty as Hell. The jury is deliberating now. I say hang him high.
