"Q played a bad game Saturday. He owns that as well. I'm telling you right now unequivocally that JG isn't ready at all to be the starter here. He's confident and cocky but he doesn't have the trust of his teammates. He couldn't even get the right snap count on a QB sneak. Doesn't mean he won't have it ever and doesn't diminish his ability which is very big. QD has to play alot better than he did the majority of that game in order to be a balanced offense going forward. The receivers are the group that week have the single most impact on Q being a better QB. They are not good right now and that's being kind. Can't have the kinds of breakdowns they had Saturday and play winning football."

Now let's see how many posters make fun of me for blaming him for the false start. Lol

Well, I guess BB and JAV are not the same person.

Went back and watched some of the game. QD wasn't great, but his receivers didn't help him. Young kids gonna have to grow up quick and start running better routes.

Still, QD made some bad decisions. And he does stare down receivers.

And there were three different times that if he keeps on the read option he gains 5-6 yards easy....including once in the red zone

The problem is we heard the same thing about Dobbs not being ready in 2014 with Worley starting over him. He comes in and dominates.

If our WR's are struggling that bad why pass 40 times when our RB's are averaging over 6 YPC? We ran 29 times, should have ran it 40.

What was our ypc in the first half compared to the second? We wore out Uf defense in the second half with ball control.

We may have had better chance to win the game if we never threw a pass.

As long as the boosters are happy and people keep buying tickets and showing up, what incentive do they have to change?

People will stop showing up. So will recruits. And I guarantee you plenty of boosters are unhappy. If we keep losing games we shouldn't and having all these issues that normal teams don't have, even more boosters will become unhappy.

So LWS said the boosters are content with Butch, after the ----show this past weekend?! Surely there is someone with a desire to win in this administration.

Finebaum was dying for John Adams to talk of fans wanting Butch fired etc, but he wouldn't take the bait. I am glad about that. I'd rather bask in our misery without the national media making fun of us.

Out of that..

That's what you focus on?

None of us know if the OL messed up the snap count or JG did. I don't recall the entire OL moving so that tells me it probably wasn't JG. But none of us know or can know, including whomever it was who posted that on 247

Man to man with 2 deep safeties would have worked perfect. Cover 4 would have worked. Butch says we were to injured to be in dime, but it wasn't even the formation that cost us the play, it was the actual call.

.

Now I'm just spitballin' here but how 'bout moving Byrd to CB since he ain't doing anything anyway.

Another problem is that JG isn't Dobbs and QD isn't Worley so that's inconsequential and doesn't necessarily mean the same outcome will occur.

Jump and DK, Jump and Bituli, Evan Berry and D Young. There's a pattern forming. It's not inconsequential when the sample size starts to grow like that.

Yeah I don't think you're right about this. They scored their first TD with Jumper in the game and he blew two opportunities to make stops.

You need to take your own advice

I try to avoid watching Jumper but unfortunately, he just appears constantly -- here is my current take: He is playing two hand touch while everyone else is playing tackle. I know we have 3 lbs out but honestly Jumper is just awful with bad angles, bad instincts, bad tackling, poor tackling form, etc. etc. He might be a rocket scientist at getting the defense lined up but he is not an sec linebacker. We may not have anyone better, but Jumper is not an instinctive linebacker and that's not good. You have to be able to shed blocks and flow to the ball and he does neither very well. He is doing great for a walk-on -- he just isn't very good. Nick Revese was a walk-on with really good instincts for a lb. Anyone know why Butuli only played a few plays? My apologies for the misspelling of last names above.
