Guy is a beast, no matter how you look at it.

Also need to take into account that at least 40% of the rushing yards are yards after contact.

yes he is a beast..he is the real deal....why we did not use him on either 1 st and goal series just amazes me......GBO

First and goal on the 1 yard line with the best back in the SEC and we throw the ball.

That translates to 1500 yards rushing and 800 yards receiving in 13 games. Yikes. Heisman numbers.
Derrick Henry had 2300 total yards
Mark Ingram had 2100 yards.
Reggie Bush had 2300 total yards

Only if we stay outside the 10 yard line. :eek:lol:

nobody is doubting that JK is a beast. Guy has unreal drive when he has the ball. Fun to watch. Wish we could win some games with the talent we have here

Now we just have to figure out how to get him more touches, and also use him as decoy. Also, what happened to our slot (Byrd) reverse motion stuff. We've got to be utilizing Byrd, Chandler, all the speed we have needs to be touching the ball regularly.

Reminds me of the time that Pete Carroll called a passing play on the 1 yard line on 1st and goal in the SB, instead of handing the ball off to Beast Mode. John Kelly is Beast Mode 2.0.

I'd say that's low. He's hit in backfield a lot. Closer to 65-70 %

It was 47% prior to the FL game. Wasn't too sure if it moved that much so I went with a conservative 40%.....but whatever it is, I am sure he is leading the country.

Look at his YPC compared to Guice, who was supposed to be the best back outside of Barkley.

I said before the season John Kelly was way better than Derrius Guice. And that Kelly would be a heisman finalist.

He's clearly the 2nd best RB in college football behind Saquon Barkley. And that is saying something because this is a very strong year for RBs. Barkley, Kelly, and Ronald Jones II (USC) are all future stars in the NFL.

IMO he is the best back we have had since Hardesty! I just can't understand Butch not playing him more last year!

Kelly is a good RB but if he goes out early he'll be the 3rd-4th RB taken out of the SEC.

I started laughing at D4H's post at "I said before"...there's so much fail that can be associated with that intro.

Kelly's a genuinely good back but 116y per game rushing is going to need a considerable boost before we can start talking Heisman. He really needs good showings against GA/AL not only for the simple stats but big game recognition.
