Why didn't we take a damn timeout when Dormady left the game? That may have avoided the penalty when JG came in and time to change the play to maybe running since he had just thrown into double coverage for a near pick! But no, let's keep doing what was asking for an interception. And sure enough a back breaking interception came just a short couple of plays later. I knew then we weren't winning the game.

I agree but we can't have it both ways. We can't criticize butch for this while the same time criticizing him for not letting his cordinators do their jobs.

No way to know if Scott is running what he wants and how much of this is just him calling plays from Butch's system.

His only other experience having input in playcalling was in a pro system at Miami.

And there it is- we wondered how Shoop suddenly became stupid and forgot how to coach defense, and come to find out, it was Butch screwing it up. Not a surprise. I wouldn't doubt Butch is calling the shots on some of the personnel decisions on that side of the ball too because they are so mind boggling.

I think on the first play of the game Bituli ran down and destroyed the Florida tail back even though he got the first down. Bituli did bite on the play action but he recovered quickly and made the play. After that he was taken out of the game. I'm starting to think Jones is the reason why that happened. I swear he can't handle a player making a mistake.

I don't mean to spread discontent. LA told most of us what we suspected already. The last part of the quote I found interesting. The money guys being on board with the move.

I find that part of it hard to believe unless Butch is just a total ******* behind the scenes. Boosters are normally the most timid group because it's their money being thrown around.

I guess I'm just timid of anonymous sources citing booster discontent as a whole.

Wiggins has clearly been frustrated for two weeks. It's been visable to anyone watching the sidelines.

Guarantano wants to play so yes there's frustration there.

Everyone is trying to figure out what the Byrd tweet means.

There's definitely some unrest with some guys over playing time. But I don't know of anyone that has cleaned out their locker.

Another way this game set up perfectly for Tennessee in the swamp was the weather. I have been to 5 games in the Swamp and never has the weather been that comfortable. Typically the heat and humidity are brutal to even just sit in the stands and watch a game in September.

I kept telling my kids how extremely fortunate we were on Saturday to have the overcast skies to keep the temps down. First game I have ever been to there where it was actually heat was not an issue.

Well said. Fault belongs everywhere.

I have seen very little criticism of the OL but I think they got whipped most of the game. JK bailed them out on the stat sheet with great individual efforts.

I went back and looked at the stats and we have 15 of our 33 rushes result in 2 or less yards. That's not exactly winning the line of scrimmage.

They did not get whipped, but they did not win on many of the plays that they should have won on. Jack Jones gets a lot of love here and he was downright awful. If that is the best he can do, he needs to sit.

Even if we win out the rest of the season (which isn't happening) I'm still going to be in full blown apathy the rest of the season. Just really don't care. Thought about taking my son to his first game this year, and still might. But the thought of spending money and going to a game just doesn't seem fun. I'm just kind of over it at this point.

It's ridiculous and absurd how we can't suck less than Florida on an annual basis.

You know, someone posted before the game that one game won't define the season. I replied, and posts like yours confirm, that at Tennessee, the Florida game very much does define the season.
