Drama doesn't really bother me. Handcuffing your big money hire defensive coordinator does. If that is true, Butch can't win championships here.

He's a redshirt freshman who's probably thought the NFL is his destiny since he was 13. Probably thinks he needs to see the field before he can lead. He hasn't left yet.

And the biggest irony of all is that without the Justin Martin factor, the Justin Martin who was savaged on this board last week, the last series at the goal line and the chance to win it presented is utterly irrelevant.

Why would Jones handicap Shoop in any sort of way? This makes sense as to why people have wondered how he could be a top 5 coordinator everywhere else he's been but when he gets here it just doesn't look right. Freaking idiot head coach if this is true.

No. We get info from different people so if we're hearing the same thing, that usually means there's truth to it.

IDK what he's saying about the outcome, but I'm optimistic that most of it will blow over and most of the players will be pacified with PT. UMass is on deck, so let them play.

You don't know if he's ready or not, neither do people on this board. Coaching staff said Dobbs wasn't ready in 2014.... Look what happened when he took over. Dormady CLEARLY isn't ready, can you blame him on being upset when there's average at best QB play above him? And he was sold his entire recruitment on being our starter

I went dark last year with the Hurd debacle. I wanted him fired for allowing the locker room to be divided. We had the talent for a really special season. Many on here were much more level headed than me. I learned a good lesson that you should be patient and wait for everything to play out.

We are the most passionate fans in sports. We have been through hell with this team. The talent is for him to win. Thanks to him for that. He has to win though. Let's see if he can.

We have already seen that he can't. It's way pat wishful thinking. It's almost cult-like to still believe that he can do it.

I could tell from his pt against ISU, he's not ready imo.

Here's a question. Let's say the divided locker room is just too much to over come. Tennessee lays an egg vs Umass and loses on a last second FG. Do you think Butch gets fired before Uga game?

Any coach that gets hired as a coordinator but cannot bring in his own guys or change the terminology is being handicapped.

Something tells me Butch doesn’t give Shoop full control either. That’s pure speculation on my part but if it’s true, he could still be that home run hire with a coach that lets him have full control.

I think transfers are just part of the times. Look at Saban, he could care less on who transfers the guys who put in the effort get to play. This happens all the way down to pee wee ball, kids quitting because of pt or coaches yelling at them. Personally i hope everyone stays because they chose to become Vols but if they decide to leave, next man up.
