Drama is going to come out in times like this. Similar kind of drama even came out at Bama. Coordinators and HCs don't always get along. Not alarming

The problem is losing head coaches with no real control of the program have no respect and the problem spreads through the whole team. It's the same thing that happened last year.

If this happens at Alabama the rest of the team tells that guy to shut his mouth because they're winning. Here it spreads because the other players know the complaints are valid.

Players tell other players they're leaving every year. I think it would be foolish for us to let any of these players walk-- not only because they are all very good players that are very much needed, but because it would look terrible for the program. And we should be playing all of them. We need the depth.

There's too much negativity around the program. We need to circle the wagons and try to make something out of this season, then sort out the problems in November. Some of them will sort themselves out.

Wiggins quitting really does nothing for him so idk his thoughts. No more eligibility and would destroy any NFL interest in him if there is any. His scholarship is a waste if he doesn't play.

OK, if it's out there, it's out there. I have heard that we have four players who have threatened to transfer. JG told some players after GT that he was leaving. He's made it known that he's not going to sit behind QD two years. Two players threatened to leave last night; another one threatened to leave today. I think one of them may have cleaned out his locker. All of it is 100% unnecessary. Our coaches need to be able to manage this.

CBJ and CBS aren't getting along. That isn't new. Apparently, CBS thinks that CBJ hamstrings him and makes it impossible for him to run the defense he wants. They're barely civil to each other. I've been wondering if Shoop will quit. It's crossed my mind that he's sticking around to see if CBJ gets released and he can get an interim tag.

IMO, most of this will get patched up. Position coaches have talked players back before-- more than we know-- so it's possible everybody will play against UMass and this will all go away. But it shouldn't have been allowed to escalate to this point.

Once things get into a nosedive, it's hard to recover. This appears to be on the verge of a trend.

3 schools in 5 years is a red flag. I couldn't care less what he does

Of course I say let it play out, but have this nagging discomfort: lot of fallibility for an infallible system. It's about Tennessee football and nothing else.

Agreed. Strong leaders mange the drama that happens at all programs. We will see if Butch can do a better job of that this year than last.

I think he expected to come and and start without working for it and that won't cut it. Maybe a promise was made to him who knows

So far today i have seen most nfl qbs throw off their backfoot multiple times. Also in at least 2 games i have seen 1st and goal from the 1 in shotgun formation.I guess our coaching staff isn't the only one with coaching malpractice.

Same here. I saw two passes on 1st and goal from the 1 in the shotgun

Thank god the internet wasn't around when Johnny Majors was head coach here.

The coaches getting into it isn't that uncommon. Doug Mathews has talked plenty about some of the battles that went on behind closed doors in the 80's. I think I remember him saying sometimes coaches had to be separated.

The only thing Butch had going for him is that the players still believed in him and played like it. If he loses the locker room then this could be a long season.

CBJ hamstringing elite coaches. Yup. I can see that. Such a tight wad.

Just let them go and you know maybe they will actually make you look smart.

Stop micro managing everything and everyone.

Other than a select few moments, he's been tighter than Maggie's britches for 3 years now and it makes his team tight. He's so afraid to make a mistake that it inevitably makes him make mistakes.
