Matt Ryan just took a sack on 3rd down pushing his team backward for a 51 yard fg. Same mistake myself and many others are ready to crucify QD for making.

They had injuries to key players on top of their suspended players as well. Big ones at that.

With JJ part of what he brings is intangible. He was instrumental in beating UF and UGA last year. Would have liked to have seen a bit more of that kind of confidence yesterday. I think it would have made a difference. It has in the past.

Edit: Plus he brings the option of more "razzle-dazzle."

Year 3 and year 5 are different stories. No way he was getting fired year 3 after inheriting WHAT Dooley left.

And? That doesn't change the outcome of the season. It's very similar to this. He won out except Bama after starting 2-3 and fans crucifying him.

I like Butch as a dude. But not as a coach. I will pray for his success elsewhere.

I did not think the same for Dooley. He could get addicted to heroin and end up partying with the Olson twins for all I gave a damn.

I have a question regarding the lack of extension for Butch- was it because Currie wasn't pleased with the record last year/not winning the division? I'm glad Currie stood tall and didn't sign it, Hart would have in a minute.

Really tired of butches ****ty conservative play calling. If he went aggressive I wouldn't be mad. I think it was the 14 uga game, I wish we still called plays like that

I'm worried about getting rid of Butch because history says we won't get a grand slam hire and could actually get a worse coach

I like Butch, defended him and gave him the benefit of the doubt right up until yesterday. 2017 @ Florida was to Butch Jones as 2011 @ UK was to Derek Dooley, IMO.

I hope he does win the East, then I hope he goes out and finds another job. More than happy to serve as a reference.

Think about how ridiculous it is to compare a loss to Florida at the Swamp to a loss to Kentucky. One you have beaten once in 12 years while the other hasn't beaten us in decades.

Kind of a stretch from a historical perspective.

Edit: Plus that WR playing QB for UK probably didn't have a 65 yarder in his quiver.

I feel the same way. I haven't lost my fondness for Butch. I've lost my confidence that he can take the next step.
