Greatly improved? The first three games have been riddled with wrong routes and dropped balls. Callaway is the only one making plays.
Head start? We're not gonna hire a new coach before December either way.
This argument doesn't make any sense unless we promote an assistant to HC.
Why evidence do you have that it was JG's cadence that made Jones jump offsides? He jumped offsides 3 times yesterday? Were those all cadence issues? Or just when JG is in?
Blaming that on JG is dumb.
A lot of us said prior to the game that, if we lose, our only option is to wait and see how the season plays out. That's all we can do.
We saw some things yesterday that warrant optimism, and some things that warrant pessimism.
We can lament, whine, moan, complain, bellyache, etc. all we wasn't, but really our only option is to see what happens. If we drop GA, UA, LSU and one (or more) of SC, UK and Mizzou, surely there will be some change.
Where it's going to get really dicey for Currie is if we lose GA, UA and LSU but win the rest. Surely he wouldn't extend the contract. But, if he doesn't, he's really cutting Butch's legs out from underneath him as it relates to recruiting.
If you know he's not the guy, make the move and stop wasting time. Promote someone to interim HC and get a leg up on the other jobs that will be opening up.
A&M, UCLA, Arkansas, etc
Wasting time in any other scenario.
