The reason we lost wasn't QD. 2 of his 3 interceptions were on the receiver. Callaway and palmer. Palmer also dropped a td and Kelly dropped the most important one

Yea I mean. You could easily say if Kelly catches a easy pass he walks into the end zone.

I say we start JG this week and see what the kid can do. We know what we have in Dormady. Dormady lacks mobility, stares down receivers, and uses bad judgment often. Let's be honest, we aren't going to lose to a 0-2 UMASS team. Why not let JG have this game to see if he is the guy?

QD has been better at going through reads since game one. He makes it to his third then falls apart cause he thinks he's going to get creamed. If it was last year he would have. But the pass blocking has been excellent this year and have greatly improved. He's not as accurate he needs to be right now to win or be successful. None of his int is because he stared the receiver down 2 we're bad throws and one the rec broke off the route

Three trips to the end zone and you put it on a shaky QB instead of just handing it off to Kelly, the results were a missed field goal, one of the turnovers you mentioned, and a field goal. This is 100% what cost us this game.

I appreciate what you are saying. Obviously play-calling in the Red Zone was perplexing. Florida obviously had an athletic D. Not sure where the coaching staff ever really wants to hold a fire wall instead of shading the odds. And I am not trying to suggest it is an easy decision. This decision too could signal a tendency.

I've always had a higher tolerance for the FF than many of you guys but my gawd.
How do you justify starting a new thread to basically just add an exclamation point to the four other identical threads.

" I agree with the author of the previous thread, I should probably start a thread about that"
It's like Middle School.

JG has a quick release and a slightly better arm than dormady but has no touch and is a one read and run guy. If he's as fast as dobbs then that may work. If we just keep feeding Kelly/chandler, keeps being very creative in screen game then we can win games.

Problem I've seen is I don't think we are actually running a zone read. I think 90 percent of our runs look like a zone read but its by design and it's a called run the whole way. Same with Dobbs last year when we said he needed to run more. I don't think they actually call a lot of zone read plays.

One time in a game is a bad call/mistake. 3 times in a game is a tendency toward ineptitude.

A lot of people are saying Vandy and Kentucky have a real chance at the east. Yes we lost yesterday but we mostly dominated as well. I want to woop the rest of the East and shut them up.

Sure it's easy to harp on play calling. Turn overs and missed field goals cost us the game.

Yeah and that play by Justin Martin was one of the greatest I've ever seen. JK continues to amaze.

Turnovers and missed opportunities in the red zone were all because of bad coaching/playcalling.

What would everyone's top 10 look like?

1. Clemson
2. Bama
3. OU
4. Penn State
5. Washington
6. Oklahoma State
7. USC
8. Michigan
9. Wisconsin
10. Va Tech

Butch has to win the East and have a record of no less than 9-3 to get back in my good graces.

If not....then goodbye. Its not gonna happen because he is a horrible coach and wastes all the talent.

Year 5 and we don't have the depth for a situational dime package?

He def should have called a timeout to see what they were going to run and get the correct people on the field I dunno. No way you dont have a dime with osborne, sham and Wiggins.

Can't wait for the Titans to lose today to complete my football misery trifecta.

At least I have the Predators, and a team that is competently managed.

You see, when you hire MAC level coaches you get MAC level results. When you hire proven winners like Laviolette, you get a Western Conference Championship and nearly a Stanley Cup. Go figure....

To me he has to beat UGA and not have a brainfart against the other east teams. He is definitely walking a tight rope now.
