Their offense has regressed from Champ to Mac. Mac refuses to fire Nuss, and tons of fans have already lost faith in him. I never said hot, I said warm. It was a one year extension, and a raise because he won the East. A loss to UT and UK back to back would either make his seat extremely hot or fire him on the spot. They don't see Mac as a long term answer
I think most of this warm seat talk is fan generated and the talking heads just pick up on it and spread the word.
Donkeys seat won't be warm unless they implode this year and show no improvement next year.
Now if he tried to cover up some of this credit card stuff THAT could make it warm.
Even as dedicated as UF seems to be to their athletics and winning championships, I still think it take a couple bad years for him to be shown the door. Which is fine by me because I don't he is a great coach he just inherited a really good situation.
As someone who lives in Florida and knows people (including family) that is Gators, it's not.
Warm doesn't mean fired, Lots of coaches have a warm seat and don't get fired until seasons later.
Muschamp was fired just 2 seasons after going to the sugar bowl.
I know people in Florida and I know gator fans. None of them know the AD or what he is thinking.
Unless you or your friends or your family know the ad, someone in the UF AD, they are just guessing like the rest of us.
And you pretty much agreed with my post. I said if he tanks this year and shows no improvement the next then he could be gone. Taking this year would make it warm, tanking next year would see him gone imo.
I'm sure they are as knowledgeable about the Florida AD's mindset as we are about Currie's on this board.
Exactly, we are all guessing. I will say again like I did earlier, I feel UF supports their athletic programs more than UT and are striving to win championships. I don't think they would tolerate 2 years of regression in their football program.
