Not sure but I've seen others do that before.

I still say Haynesworth is off base talking about us lining up off the ball in that situation. He keeps talking about it being 2nd and 1. But the truth is it was 70 yards from the goal and there was 40 seconds left and they had no timeouts. Down and distance meant zero there. Al sounds like a football forum poster.

With all the things stacked against UF in this game it will be an absolute catastrophe for UT to lose.

I just won't be able to accept it.

So did SDS.

And seccountry

Basically every website that covers UT football wrote a similar story. They all know Vols fans (positive or negative ones) are in a frenzy for this game and will click anything they throw up on their website.

It's not just 247.

This is happening more with internet reporting. Heck, there are a number of articles that I have read that reference and explain a tweet. But there are a few sites (specifically sports sites) that don't necessarily do their own investigative work for a story. They just scour the internet and report what others are saying.

Maybe I am over all the damn media outlets. If it ain't their quotes I don't think they should use them.

One of the best d-lineman to ever play here is off base with his criticism of the d-line? Anyone who is critical of the program sounds like a negavol from the FF?

It would be nice to have some nuanced conversation about the team but most fans reduce any argument down to someone being either a negavol or a sheep.

Yes. He is off base IMO. If we had lined up 5 yards off the ball it wouldn't have mattered. All we are doing there is letting them run a play and then headed to the locker room.

So yeah, imo big Al is just spouting off right there without thinking.

I didn't see SEC Country or SDS, but RTI gave Midday180 credit. That would be my only beef.

If that had been the only time we had lined up that far off the ball all year, then I would see your point.

If you want to win the SEC East, you’re going to have to deal with the Florida Gators.

That’s essentially what Gators head coach Jim McElwain said at his weekly radio show on Thursday evening.

“We’re defending SEC East Champs,” he said. “It goes through here … it goes through Gainesville. We’ve been waiting for this for a long time. I know our guys are excited to get back in The Swamp and have an opportunity to play, and more than that, be able to play an SEC, conference game.”

Well you would have a point if he was complaining about us doing it vs Tech. But he was complaining about the only time we did it vs ISU. When it actually made sense to do it.

Reeks of someone just looking to complain. Announcers pointed it out and he pounced on it. Didn't stop to think about why we were doing it right there. We were basically in prevent just content to take it to half time. As was our opponent who was out of timeouts and had 70 yards to go in 40 seconds.

Yeah. Stayed in an Air Force Lodging as an E-5 and it was better than anything the Army offered me. Even Officers Lodging is crap compared to that. Air Force takes good care of their folks.

When I was at my Captain's Career Course on Ft. Jackson, SC, they put us up and the rooms weren't bad at all. However, that part of the base was so old that the hot water came from some facility and not from a hot water heater in the building. Well that facility broke and we went days without hot water. I know that seems silly and I've spent longer than that without hot water and been fine but we were in the field. If the Air Force Lodging lost hot water you know that would be fixed ASAP. Ft Jackson took days to fix it. Lol.

Oh well. At least I'm not in the Marine Corps!

Am I misremembering things or didn't Haynesworth have some tweet about the DL during/in the wake of the GT game as well?
