The Swamp isn't the hardest venue to play in these days, and the Gators don't have as much bite as they have in the past. Around 50-60% of our two-deep played in The Swamp in 2015 and should be wanting some payback. We should win and it should be an easier win than GT.

We have 3 top DEs known more coming in for their ability to rush the QB not over power people yet people want us to blow Ga Tech a Triple option team off the ball. We had one DL built for power in KMAC. The primary backup Quay is undersized. Tuttle wasn't going to be risked.

Then on 2nd level you have a meh at MLB. Cortez is solid but not known for power and Bituli a monster.

Warrior our only Saftey that will get in there and pop somebody in run game.

Yet you think it would be smart to attempt to over power Ga Tech?

The plan was to try and free up the defenders and try to use our speed. It worked until we got exhausted

This team has been built and recruited for traditional offenses today with a Nickel base in mind. The real tests is this Saturday. I have a feeling people won't have much to say about defense Saturday outside of potential the CBs.

Dormady HAS to be the impact player on Offense.

Wait for it....

Kyle Phillips 3 sacks.

Dormady just has to manage the game and not make catastrophic mistakes. imo.

I agree on Phillips. Maybe not the 3 sacks but this is his coming out party. watch for Bituli and Gaulden to make their presence felt in blitZes as well.

I truly believe Florida will stack the line to stop the run. Believe Dormady makes them pay.

It is your opinion that they could do a better job. Realistically, not many on that list could have brought Tennessee from where we were to where we are. . . codgobbler.

No realistically most of the guys on the list would no doubt do a better job than Jones. You know why? Because they're better coaches.

Oh they will, on the Michigan PA bomb to Black for 50 yards they had 9 men in the box and since both safeties are pretty inexperienced they were staring in the backfield. We have speed at WR, I'll be shocked if we don't connect on at least one long ball.

Yep, that's what I think. They know CBJ will want to run JKelly, so they'll stack the box and make QD beat them with his arm. I think we'll use JSmith and Byrd to get QD warmed up and feeling confident, then let him sling it to Callaway, Johnson and Palmer downfield.

Agree they'll make QD beat us with his arm. He hasn't shown me he can do that, we will see if he can Saturday.

Have to avoid the disastrous play.

Also my offensive gameplay if I'm the Gators would consist of running jet sweeps and throwing at 8 until we take him off the field.

They'll attack him early and often

I'll say this. If Butch plays conservative in this game and we lose, I'm out. That'll be it for me. Beat them and do it decisively

I don't get this at all. If Florida is as bad as most think on Offense we 100% need a conservative gameplan.

2 to 1 runs to pass. Boring game and drain the swamp is exactly what we should hope happens.

If Martin plays poorly, he'll probably come out early. Wiggins is eager and ready to go.

I hope you're right. What about Moseley, is the staff impressed with him the last 2 games? And shamburger we were heard a lot about him, any chance he gets some PT if other CB's struggle?

On the first drive they'll throw a deep pass on Martins side for sure. They did it last year and they did it to UM. Hopefully we'll be ready for it and have a Safety over the top to help. We'll likely see a few quick screens too

Agree. Plus it's likely gonna storm. I don't care if we win ugly, just win. And I don't want them to read Dormady and pick him off for six. Run, run and run some more, when they stack the box bomb it deep and mix in some screens.

Don't get me wrong I'd love to destroy Florida by 50, but that shouldn't be the gameplan haha.

The coaches really like Moseley. He's a captain this week, so they'll be looking to him for leadership. Shamburger, Ignont, Johnson and a few other FR have had great practices and have gotten some early PT. But my guess is we'll use the experienced guys as much as we can, except for those positions where we have to use FR.

I'm sure UF will attack our corners early and often, and we'll be as ready as we can for that. Now that Wiggins is getting closer to 100%, we'll see if he can be a differencemaker.

If anyone is wondering why Butch said we always line up a yard off the ball, go watch the rant Saban went on about his gameplan for playing Hurts and Tua. Almost nothing he says is for the fans. It's for his players and the other coaches.

If you rewatch the first deep ball to Palmer vs Indiana st palmer went he wrong way. Dormady threw him toward end zone and Palmer was cutting across for some reason. If he keeps going straight toward end zone it is on the money for 6.The other was an obvious over throw.

I saw this the same way.

Serious question:

For us to win East, we can only afford to lose to Bama, correct?

UGA schedule isn't very tough. Other than us, who on there could beat them? Auburn is all I see. Not sure that's realistic.

I'm confident we get through this weekend, but we still have UGA, LSU, and Bama to face. Granted two of the 3 are at home, but there is 0 room for error.
