I just hope we weather the early storm. You have to figure Fl is going to be fired up for the first home game with so much on the line. They are going to come out and hit us with everything they got to prove all the naysayers wrong and show they're not as bad as people are saying. They will be playing off juiced up emotion and adrenaline our boys need to be ready and hopefully we knock them out first.

Jumper is the only walk on I can remember. I know our LB development has been what it should be. That is indeed a valid gripe. Kirkland went out (starter), Sapp (projected to do big things and be a starter). The depth behind them was unknown and was not apparently developed very well. Some of it, IMO, was due to S&C (athleticism not being there; McDowell) and some was due to technique (Berry, Bates, Bryant). Granted Bates has been hurt since he has been here. I personally, think that Thigpen should have been replaced last year. I think if the LBs do not show progress this year, he will be gone.

But the bottom line is, we should have had to start Jumper. Granted, the kid had some good games last year but he should have been a depth guy at best.

They cant be objective. They view facts as excuses. They give our rivals the benefit of the doubt while trashing us. Heck if all of our players were injured and we started all walk ons, they would think we should not only win a NC but face the top NFL team in the superbowl.

Jumper is on scholarship, no? I might be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time.

I don't think we played a walk on at LB last year.

Wouldn't shock me. Travel will be a nightmare with evacuees and many Floridians are still not able to find gas to travel long distances.

That doesn't even take into account those who just don't feel like traveling after this past week.

There are still 6.5 million people without power. There are going to be tons of empty seats.

Wish we could pull a GA@ND and purchase 50k tickets and cause it to be a neutral/home game for the VOLS.

Not sure I have seen CBJ more confidant and relaxed than at the presser yesterday. Not sure if the question about the D-line was yesterday or monday, but it was obvious at the time he didn't want to answer a question about scheme and just finessed it. Not a big deal.

Not to mention that Butch had absolutely nothing to do with the purchase of those followers.

It's like suggesting that Butch told the photographers what lens to use when shooting games or the graphic designers what font to use on the UT football website.

Even if he asked for them to be bought it still is good imo
