It absolutely could. McElwain could go 6-6 and Butch could go 8-4 this year and McElwain would still have a better win percentage (.625 - .615) than Butch.

You know what the difference is, though? Florida would send McElwain packing. Butch might get an extension.

Sounds about right. I feel like if Jones went 6-6 most of the buffoons on here would say we should keep him because he's done such a better job than Doofus. They don't settle in Gainsville like idiot fans up here do.

Michigan buddy says that their defensive line is really good, but their corners are suspect.

Let's be real, they're going to score more than three offensive points against us. I don't think they'll score more than 28.

Agreed. I think 28 is tops. Hoping it's less than 17 but I have my doubts.

Well, please go to Gainesville* then. One less turd of a fan to worry about.

Here you go bringing facts into the argument. Let's add another one. Horse face didn't earn his east titles, he was gifted by the us and Georgia snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Without LSU messing it up last year and our injuries, we win the east. 2015 was the year we could have won it but weren't quite there yet. We were a tough team that couldn't close it out. Should have beaten Florida in 2015 and UGA. It is still mind blowing (bottling) that so many on here are high on the Gators when they have regressed. We cant even get the benefit of the doubt from our own fans.

This is a stupid post. A bunch of "well this wouldn't have happened if this" kind of bull crap. He was gifted the east title because Tennessee choked it away both years. Injuries are not an excuse for losing to those South Carolina and Vanderbilt teams.

Yeah, buying followers isn't a rare thing, but that magnitude seems a touch off to me.

The media relations team would also most likely be the ones buying the followers since they also have control over the accounts.

If it wasn't 1mill it was almost. And it for sure happened he went from ~285-300k to around what he's at now overnight

I'm sorry the truth doesn't fit your narrative.

Short of Alabama, any team that has that many injuries does a lot worse than we do. Heck, if the Patriot lose Brady for the season they don't go to the superbowl. And that is one player.

2015 was not a choke year. We weren't projected to win it. We were a team on the rise. Last year injuries derailed everything. But your right, player playing out of position at DT should have been able to be starting caliber DTs. Walk-on LBs should have been starting caliber LBs. Fahr Butch!

What is thw consensus on how good michigan is on D?

Gave up just 200 yards total offesne to Cincy just not sure how much that means.

It's possible that Michigan is just a dominant D and Florida isn't as bad on O as most of us think.

Cincinnati only scored 27 on APSU in week 1. It was 20-14 with 5:00 to go.

And Cincinnati only gained 248 yards against Austin Peay. Florida's offense was bad week 1. If they look good against us, it would be a bad sign. Don't see them doing much though.

Not a single person in here has said 6-6 from Butch is acceptable. I think the lowest I have seen is 7-5 and that opinion is in the minority. I believe most have said 8-4 minimum with a good recruiting class. But don't let those excuses (actually facts) get in the way of your narrative.

You probably need to go back to the FF if you want someone to agree with your drivel.

Don't bother Kristy, your facts will get called excuses. Doesn't matter if we have talent or not we should win the NC every year or fahr Butch!

Not just picking on you, but I see this all the time that we were playing walk on LBs last year due to injuries.

Who was that? I can't remember that happening

Since you are so confident we lose big to Florida this weekend, when we beat them with ease, will you go away?

It's been going on a lot longer than that. I've been on UT message boards since the late 90s, and there were people moaning and groaning about Fulmer for years before be finally got fired.

That vocal minority turned louder with social media and now everyday fans are getting brow beat by it. They are buying the narrative because they hear it so much. If someone wants to complain so much about the team and program, they should just quit following it. Nothing that the team or program will do will make them happy. In the end, it just seems like they want everyone to share in their misery and outrage.

They cant be objective. They view facts as excuses. They give our rivals the benefit of the doubt while trashing us. Heck if all of our players were injured and we started all walk ons, they would think we should not only win a NC but face the top NFL team in the superbowl.
