Yeah, I'd hate to be stuck with those bum coaches.

Jim McElwain: 19-9 at Florida, 13-3 in conference, two SEC East titles in two tries.

Kirby Smart: 10-5 at Georgia, 4-4 in conference, best collection of young talent in the league besides Alabama.

Butch Jones: 32-21 at Tennessee, 14-18 in conference. 0 SEC East titles in 5 tries.

McElwain's record is about to take a nose dive this year.

This is the most hilarious thing on the plant. You almost lose the opener to hide a defense right?

He isn't too far off. Our gameplan satirday will be very different than first 2 games. We weren't hiding a defense in opener but we played different style to fit the opponent which led to different calls. Clearly we don't stand our DE up or play off ball like that on interior vs traditional offenses.

We blitzed like 4 times in 2 games. If you think shoop only blitZes an average of 2 times a game then I don't know what to tell you. He will be coming after Florida Qb often with plays he hasn't called all season because it didn't fit the gameplan.

People are so blinded by stats from games where he had one scholarship DT at end of season and from one game against a random offense that we don't really match up well against personell wise. They forget his defenses were the main reason we were 5-0 to start season last yr.

Wrong. Our fanbase has a much larger social media presence. Always has. And we are a starved fanbase. What was once a positive back in 2013-14 has now become a huge negative. The coverage of our program is much different than others.

I get what you are saying and I would have agreed with you during the Dooley era. But the way our negative fanbase has shaped the way we are covered by our own media and in turn it has changed the way we are portrayed and perceived in the national scene.

Butch choking away games and the division two years in a row with high national expectations is what caused the negative national media. Not Twitter trolls or Volnation. Barrett Sallee is hating on us because he got burned after picking us, not because the local media or social media is so negative toward UT.

What are you basing this on? Article or stats or something?

It absolutely could. McElwain could go 6-6 and Butch could go 8-4 this year and McElwain would still have a better win percentage (.625 - .615) than Butch.

You know what the difference is, though? Florida would send McElwain packing. Butch might get an extension.

No. Not stats. Just experience.

But anytime there's a twitter poll it's obvious our fans outnumber other fanbases. If you follow recruits on twitter it's evident that UT has the largest fanbase on that outlet.

For the record I don't follow recruits and barely even check twitter anymore. But UT has always had the largest fanbase on twitter which is still the main social media outlet used in the sports world.

That's a weird thing to hold a grudge about.

"You sons of b**ches. I told everyone you would be really good last season, and you mother f'ers turned out to just be kind of good. You made a fool out of me!"

Florida isn't firing McElwain this year. He's getting fired December 2018.

Casual Observation. Heck I don't even get on twitter but I see it in the several facebook sports groups I am in. Its bad when Bammers are asking why Vol fans are so hard on their team.

It's obvious our fanbase is the most active on social media. I don't know how anyone could argue differently.

The national media is catering to the large Vol presence. The majority of vol fans are miserable and will always click on the negative articles because it makes them feel good that their negative opinions are being vindicated by the talking heads.

McElwain and Smart took over rosters loaded talent.......Butch took over a dumpster fire.

Go be a Florida fan then. You pretty much already are.

Here you go bringing facts into the argument. Let's add another one. Horse face didn't earn his east titles, he was gifted by the us and Georgia snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Without LSU messing it up last year and our injuries, we win the east. 2015 was the year we could have won it but weren't quite there yet. We were a tough team that couldn't close it out. Should have beaten Florida in 2015 and UGA. It is still mind blowing (bottling) that so many on here are high on the Gators when they have regressed. We cant even get the benefit of the doubt from our own fans.

Yes. 2015 and last year we were picked by a lot of national people to do better than we did. And we lost 2015 in especially spectacular fashion by giving up huge leads. And after choking away the east last year Butch told everyone that he never said winning the east was the goal. These are the things that have gotten the national media spinning us in a negative way. Not our fans' social media

You are FOS. 6-6 would send Butch packing. There are so many variables that you aren't even taking into account. Do you even analysis, bro?

His job is to predict things correctly. We made him look bad at his job. I'm not sure how you think that most humans wouldn't hold a grudge against something that made them look bad at their job to the whole country.

Link?

I seem to remember the opposite. No one predicted a tough team that would have close loses to OU and Bama, much less UF and UGA. If I remember correctly, the talking heads predicted 6-6 or 7-5 for 2015, not an SECE title.

Our media and idiot fanbase without a doubt has a negative effect on the program.

Always funny to me to see fans defend the Houston Kress types and vol Twitter loons.

Some of the worst I've seen is on the Rivals main board. Some of those "vol fans" trash Butch and UT worse than rival fans, it's disgusting. I can't even read Vol related threads on their most of the time, it makes me physically ill how our fans talk about our coach and program. It's one thing when it's a rival, I get that, but when it's your own fans?

Wait........I didn't think UGA had talent last year. That was the narrative. You guys have to get your stories straight.
