The one that are bashing players and coaches justify their actions by:

1) It doesn't get to the players.

2) If it does get to the players, it shouldn't bother them.

3)It does get to the players, but they need to toughen up and not let it bother them.

4)It happens everywhere. Why should I stop? When I bash I get likes.

5) No one has valued my opinion before. Why would they start now?

6)The only attention I get is when I bash. I'm called stupid or a troll. But hey, that's better than nothing. I can at least play the woe is me card, for being mistreated on the internet.

7) It's America! I have the right to say the stupidest stuff and then crybaby about being called stupid(I've been called stupid all my life. Why should I expect any different now?), It's worse when your own daddy calls you stupid compared to some random from the internet, well they should put me on ignore if they don't want to listen to my worthless dribble, I mean my insightful opinion.

So me a post where i have bashed a player?

FYI, calling the defense bad isnt bashing a player. They dont need to read the internet to know they are not good.

Yeah...as opposed the the unquestioning Butch disciple posts. I can see how that would bug you.

I'm for the Orange team despite the year, coaches, and players.

Division does not produce better team play during its season! It's a new season. We've played one game. Those calling for a new head coach now are flatly out of season. Talk about such when the season is not at risk. I have little patience for armchair replacement coach calls or innuendos when the team just played its first game of the season. In the meantime, I'm for Orange team #121. Go Vols!

My assumption, correct or not, is that JG has higher talent ceiling, but probably more questionable decision making, and just couldn't have higher risk of turnovers in a close game. Cannales says he's an open book, and if that's the case, JG knew the team position going into the game. I also think he gets alot of PT this year in meaningful games. If he does real well this week, and his talent, leadership and decision making continues to improve, he's going to be hard to keep off the field. Whether he starts or not is another thing, but I do think this time next year, JG probably starts the season at QB....but then again, I also thought our DL was going to be stout this year...so, QD may be the guy, JG transfers, and the kid from CA becomes the next QB in waiting.

The light? The big picture? What are we seeing?

Haha, nothing important. Just some dishonesty, hypocrisy and denial. Nothing new, just not often found in the form it is on this page.

Off topic and you may have already addressed it and I never noticed, but is the "Boro" in reference to Murfreesboro TN. ?

Then my post applies to you for bashing the coaches then.

The coach is not the team, he is a paid mercenary that would be gone at the first offer of more money. He's no different than a highly paid CEO. He's paid handsomely for results, and when those results are not forthcoming criticism, and perhaps a change, is warranted.

There is a distinction between criticizing a highly paid professional, and an amateur student athlete.

You are the only one I'm aware of that thinks CBJ can't get it done but wants to keep him as HC.

You make less sense than any of us!

Makes perfect sense. I dont think he is a good coach. But he has done enough to prove anyone who believes that wrong.

Sure. There is enough evidence to form an opinion either way, but to decide that he isn't a good coach and want to keep him does not make "perfect sense".

It's nonsense.

According to you he can't get it done(Win NCs.), but you say keep him. Nonsense.

It was. I am from middle TN originally, and was living in Murfreesboro when I joined the site.....still have family there.

I live back in Knoxville now, and have put my roots down since being back the last 7 years. My son is now playing football at Maryville College, and my daughter is a sophomore at Hardin Valley. We're not leaving East Tennessee again. I may move out of the county to a piece of land, but I'm not going far.
