Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Tech Pre-Game/Game Thread

Every dang coach in the history of forever has mismanaged timeouts. Butch keeps his team's head in the game, which is why we won. That is good coaching.

One thing that was nice, was that we looked much more prepared on special teams. Daniel was awesome, Berry was awesome, Medley did a great job as well tonight. Plus the blocked FG.

Malone never showed speed but on one catch. He had good timed speed but dude wasn't a guy that you thought of as a speedster.

It still counts when u blow by the DBs and catch a bomb. But I'm not disagreeing with u, MC showed out and has the potential to do more than Malone ever did.

Dormady's stats are worse than what they should be. He threw some bad balls with some being pretty high, but he has a cannon for an arm and he had like 6 drops by the WR's and TE's tonight. I think that without those drops we would have seen a more relaxed version of Dormady sooner rather than later. Props to the kid for showing grit and getting much better today in the second half.

He'll be good moving forward. Bounced back in the second half and led his team to victory vs a strong opponent in primetime kickoff game in an NFL stadium. In his first ever start.

He definitely has work to do and we should have hung more on them. Still, proud of him for his showing. And the OL got better in the second half. As for me, I think Kongbo played well. I wasn't always watching for him, but I think his assignment all night was contain. And Bituli....shewwwwwwww man. He is going to be GUUUD.

I mean what good DBs did he really go deep on like that. His best deep balls were against Kentucky and Nebraska I guess.

What's up, boys??!! Are y'all at each other's throats in here?

All I can say is wow! What a game and refuse to lose mentality. I'm very glad that game is behind us, and I hope we don't see that offense ever again. We have a lot to work on, but kudos to those kids for not quitting.

Probably the most concerning thing I saw tonight was that we are a soft football team. We don't try to punish RB, QB, or WR when they have the ball. We let them hit us instead. GT was by far more physical than us. That's concerning when we get into SEC play. You have to play physical in this league. It's a mentality and not something you can turn off and on.

Ok, BB. I agree MC is a better WR. If he had Malone's speed, he would be even better. Can we agree on that?

I don't see a speed advantage is what I'm saying. Callaway should very good speed tonight running away from Georgia Tech DBs. Malone outran Maye for Florida a strong safety. Yes he looked fast but he was in full stride when he caught it. Callaway hit the sideline and left everyone behind like they were nothing. He just runs smooth.

I've more or less agreed with everything u said 2nite. I know u agree that they might as well move Byrd to CB. We can argure about minor stuff 2morrow. WE WON and I'm ecstatic! How about u?

It reminded me of Meachum catching a curl against Cal, breaking a tackle, and outrunning the white e secondary.

Yes and Callaway was coming in, caught the ball and then went back outside. His speed was really impressive on that play. I don't know how he looked slower than Malone seeing that Malone never made a play like that at Tennessee.
