To Paul Johnson and the rambling wreck

I love JG but acting that way on the sideline is not the way to get snaps. JG needs to adjust that attitude because Dormady looked pretty good in the second half. If any of us had to play our first start on that stage we would've crapped ourselves long before we took the first snap. BB included.

Maybe he was frustrated like us with performance. His body language screamed I'm mad as hell. Condredge Holloway comes over to talk to him at one point while sitting on bench away from his teammates.

QD just needed to settle in. This place is too emotional during any game. I think there was good and bad tonight. Some players stepped up tonight. And we are waiting on the arrival of others. Still going with 9-3. We will get better as the season goes on. This team needs to find its identity.

That is a huge stage for your first start and to have to rally your team from 14 down. He has lots to improve o but until JG fixes whatever attitude issues he had going on I don't want him on the field.

Yep. If JG is going to pout like that, I don't trust him to fight through a game that's not going his way.

To be fair we have no idea if he was pouting. Making a mountain over a molehill. He was standing on sidelines and maybe have seen plays going in to.

He did play better. We scored a TD on every drive that he kept the option. Our offense cannot work unless he keeps it once in a while.

Still don't like his accuracy though. Almost every throw was high or behind. That won't cut it against decent teams.

In his defense, half of the good throws were dropped.

His composure was so much better second half. Maybe this is the worst of him and it only gets better from here? Hope so. Need a much better QB than we saw tonight to win the east, but gotta give him credit for being just good enough to win.

It was his first start so I take that into consideration but he is got Indiana ST to get little more comfortable with the WR and settling down with more confidence before we head to UF.

Thankful that we found a way to win. Offense settled down, line started blocking, Kelly and Callaway are studs. Oh and Trey Smith is a man.

19 and 35 are gonna be great. 18 looked good. Looked like 53 and 20 got tired or something. 22 isn't a S to me, I've been saying it since last year. 99 was very disappointing, esp in the second half. We need Tuttle to be healthy in the worst way.

I think the D would've looked better if the O didn't leave them hung out to dry the entire first half. All in all just happy we are 1-0 but my optimism took a hit for sure.

We should never ever ever schedule that offense again. I don't care if it is Georgia tech or Air Force or whoever. Do not schedule that crap again. Helps us zero.

Hopefully jennings can come back. If he can, that's a 1-2 punch at the wr core.

He wasn't much of a 1 or 2 punch tonight. Easy drop, didn't stretch for a pretty achievable first down. Hope he steps up when he comes back. He's definitely capable of more than he showed imo

One thing about butch's teams, they don't quit.

We get better on both lines next week with DR and Tuttle back.

Callaway is a stud and Palmer looks like Mike Williams from Clemson.

Palmer was open over and over. He's going to be good.

VQ War Room indicated a few weeks back that the eggheads at UT thought Paul Johnson would be toast at GT by 2017 when they scheduled the game back in 2012 or whenever it was. Think they were coming off a 3-9 season.
