What a great ending and team building play for these guys! They fought hard against a very scrappy team with tons of new pieces and ran out with a W.

Glad it's over. Won't see triple option ever again. Hard to judge our defense as a whole after this week regardless of how bad or good the stats look.

This team is doomed if it doesn't play and create depth. Bain, Piccou, Johnson and Butler should have been playing snaps.

The defense came out lively, but got sucked dry by inept offense. Butch kept same D-Line in whole game.

You can't build depth it you refuse to play guys.

Definite moral victory. This is the kind of moral victory I like. Tech is gonna make anyone's run D look bad.But yeah we best hope we learned from this.

Can you have a moral victory when you have an actual victory?

A rite of passage for the D. They got hit in the face all night and still found the stones to end the game with a win.

Those guys will get some snaps next week. Luckily we cane out healthy on D but losing JJ is scary especially for an extended time. We need him for his gator killing skills.

I can't imagine that we didn't rotate defensive linemen in a game like this. Our defense was pathetic--but nobody can play defense anymore. We were terrible. GT had 86 rushes for well over 500 yards. We were like a high-school team on defense. And we pay Shoop more than $1 MILLION a year. Think about that.

GT ran almost 100 plays tonight and got well over 600 yards of offense--more than 200 more than we did. They more than doubled time of possession. Talk about pulling a game out of your butt.....

Dang, those stats are unreal.

Third down GT was 13-18. WOW!

Time of possession stat is unbelievable.

41:27 GT
18:33 UT

I'm sure there's all sorts of records this game set, both good and bad.

This! We all pretty much figured this would be a war of attrition. GT will probably win 8-9 games. I wanna believe the D will be better when Shy and Austin get back vs FL.

Ugh...love the W but those stats...are effing brutal...

I'm being overly optimistic but we are never gonna have a game vs an offense like that again. We will never have a 1:3 time of possession again this season. While the stats are sure awful, we can't judge our defense based on this game vs that specific offense. I'm ready to see what happens over the next two weeks against non gimmicky offenses
