HBO's "Game of Thrones"

If Aegon the Conquer could marry and share the throne with his sisters it should be no problem for Danny and Jon

Oh..I agree with you that it shouldn't, but according to the aftershow, it is just going to cause a lot of problems. That is the direction the writers are going to take it, no happily ever after for anybody.

Too many years invested to just stop watching. Even if I hate it I still have to know how it ends. Every good fantasy series has rules and laws. Things that make sense in that established world. I would like if the people who make the show were consistent in the world they themselves established.

I agree with all you said, what I meant earlier, is if you hate how the show is going now, then you are probably going to hate the rest of the story. I was saying it in a facetious light hearted way, I didn't mean for it to sound as snarky as it did. I should have written it like this..Man if you hate it now, you might as well quit watching at this point, because you are really going to hate the rest of it probably. Some crazy ish is fixin ta happen.

I wonder if the show cut out the horn because they'd have to go back and explain it so they just used a dragon.

I would be willing to bet the books will have the WW in possession of the horn.

That is what I was thinking. Since they cut out the horn, they had to have some way of bringing down the wall. I actually thought it was cool. It was a heck of a lot more thrilling way of bringing that thing down than blowing a freaking horn.

zero chance? nah. grrm has said there will be differences from book to show. Show folks might have switched to dragon for effect purposes. I don't recall any other way the wall can come down outside or the horn of the spell being broken in the book. So saying zero chance is an obnoxious statement

I agree.

I am surprised that more characters did not die.

I kept expecting Beric to die but the fact that he is alive makes me think that Lady Stoneheart must have some long-term role in the books.

I'm saying zero chance they didn't ask. I'm not saying it can't go down differently. I'm just saying that if it does, it's probably because GRRM wasn't completely sure at the time or because he changed his mind.

However, no way the decision to make Jon's real name Aegon didnt come from George.

They've put a lot of emphasis on the fact that Dany can't have children other than her dragons, and who will be her heir if she dies.

I bet if Jon Snow gets in there he can impregnate her, targ on targ style.

Maybe she can't have children because she just hasn't boned a targ yet.

I'mma just leave this here... :)

Not trying to be a bit**, but I thought the episode overall was meh. I would have liked it better if Cersei had killed Jaime.

I would have preferred the other way around but to each his own... Jaime going to the north does bring back one potential area of conflict for the good guys:

Bran: "Hey, Jaime! Now, about that push a while back...."

He just wants to see the evil side win. That is the only thing that satisfies him. I bet he loved Ned getting axed, and was probably orgasmic during the Red Wedding.

Serious question... Does Jaime even know that Bran is still alive? My guess is that Jaime is next in line for Arya's dagger although I would hate to see it play out that way.

I'm not sure. I think she had a chance to kill him at the Twins (season 6 finale), and she didn't really seem to think it was necessary.

I think it would have been better if, at the point Sam and Bran are figuring things out and Dany and Jon are working things out when Bran said "Jon needs to know!", that his eyes glaze over and then he says "Whoops, too late now.".

as long as Sam has one of these to play after Bran says that, I'm good with it.

I think Jon has to die now. Probably goes out fighting the Night King. Maybe whoever kills the Night King becomes the new Night King and leads the dead army back beyond the wall for a few thousand years.
