Non-sequitur.

I don't support discriminating against Muslims on the basis of religion and somehow that means I have adopted their values and beliefs? Do you realize how asinine that sounds?

I believe that the KKK has the right to espouse their opinions. Am I now an oppressor of minorities?

I don't support discriminating against Christians on the basis of religion. Am I now saved?

You are clueless.

I'm just saying you got both oppose "rape culture" on college campuses and simultaneously want Americans to be more accepting of Islamic culture. And that's only one example. Gay rights, women's rights, nearly everything about Islam is opposite of what liberals claim to support. You can't want Americans to be more accepting of Islam and achieve everything else on the liberal dream list.
Liberals support the Muslim version of the Klan.

Again, non sequitur. I don't support anyone who rapes another. Why the need to judge all Muslims on the acts of a few? Are pedophile priests representative of all Catholics?

A few? You believe it's a minority of Muslims who allow for rape culture to be law within Muslim countries? Have you ever seen any actual polling on some of these serious issues within Islam? Even those living within European countries or the US, they hold horrific views on such things.

We have roughly 3.5 million muslims in this country and I don't see this rape culture you're speaking of here. If any muslims rapes someone, stick him in jail. Same as anyone.

Also, you really can't say you support the constitution and say you believe in discriminating on the basis of religion.

Sure you can. I can discriminate against anyone. The constitution doesn't prevent me from discriminating.

I was talking about on a governmental level. As for your premise that you can discriminate... sure.

The issue isn't that democrats don't support discrimination against Islam on a government level. It's that they outright support Islam on levels.

You are unable to distinguish between supporting the religion and supporting the rights of people to practice the religion.

Not at all. That's my issue. Democrats outright support the religion. I'm not arguing in favor of limiting their rights. I'm arguing against supporting Islam, which democrats 100% do.

You are misunderstanding their arguments. I've not heard anyone say that I support someone's right to rape a child because his religion says its ok.

But they will 100% say that we need to suppprt and stand with Islam. And they will gladly ignore every bit of sexism, rape culture, etc within the religion when claiming we should be more open and supportive of Islam.

There is a crap ton of sexism in the bible, but most scholars say it doesn't mean precisely what it says. Islamic scholars will say the same thing about their religious texts. No more than a christian wants to be defined by some backwoods sect... modern muslims don't want the association either. So no, it's not ignored, but nor is it attributed to all muslims like the reds around these parts suggest that it should.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Islamic culture has far more issues with sexism, rape culture, and anti gay hysteria than modern day Christianity. To claim otherwise is to outright lie.

We may not be talking about all Muslims, but we are talking about extremely large percentages. If it were only small minorities who held these beliefs, Middle Eastern culture would be a lot different.

You're also talking about people from countries that are at least a century behind "modern." We wouldn't hear crap about the evils of Islam if there wasn't oil there.
