What is the logic of picking an L to Florida?

Let's ask this another way: if we lose to UF, are you really going to be shocked or something? Because if you will be, then THAT I won't understand.

Actually, quite a few of the heads have picked UK over UT. Stinchcomb, Booger, Jordan Rodgers, even Spears said UK could get the W in Lexington. UT has outrecruited UK at every position. We should be able to beat them with our 2s and 3s. Preseason predictions are meaningless, but they clearly think CBJ and UT are going to underperform again this year.

I don't think it's anyone "enjoying" the facts...but if you're talking about worthless preseason predictions, the facts (past) should play a part...which is ironic since any future contest should be ambivalent to the past.

Actually idgaf, we're 0-0 against errybody right now and obviously I hope we win them all, but I hope we stomp the dog schitz outta Florida.

Because people are lazy and believe games played before a single one of our current players was alive or coach was on staff make a difference to 2017

At the end of the day, who cares what these people predict? That's the problem with 24 hour news...you have people that take one side and someone takes another. It's not real, it's just done to stir up crap.

Tomorrow, no one will remember what they said...or care.

I definitely don't care why they think. This is the 4th August the SECN has existed, and those are some of the worst prognosticators I've seen. I enjoy listening to a few of them talk football, but they are not very good at really at evaluating team rosters, which is surprising considering they get to spend time with the programs around the SEC in the offseason.

But no, I'm never surprised when we lose to them. They could field their cheerleaders against us at Neyland and I'd freaking worry. I don't worry about anybody like I do those rat bastards. I'm not superstitious and don't believe in curses, but I just don't know about them.

A lot of our losses in the Swamp have been mental breakdowns. The Gators think they'll beat us and they find a way to win; we find a way to lose. Hopefully, last year reprogrammed that.

Correct. The game(s) have yet to be played so any outcome is possible.

Kelly I think will have to have a high light reel game effort in the Gator game. 175 yards rushing from him would do the job up real well. I'm hopin a Gator gets in his face pregame and.....motivates him.

I hope he drains the swamp.

Lol, its just weird seeing people seeming like they enjoy the "facts".

Like every other person here, I'll be glad when season gets started and hopefully put all these type of discussions to bed. Going to the mattresses every night is getting old.

You mean once the season gets here we have a chance to finally beat Florida? And our fans will stop rushing to bend over for them?
Well, we all ready did that, now it just seems awkward.

Oh, so the other "media members" from earlier this year that predicted UK would finish better than UT but not beat them are to be discredited?

I don't need or want to watch the SEC preview show. You know why? It doesn't mean squat.

Then why comment? This was about the predictions they have made, they obviously aren't using ur logic, if they were we would be picked over UK. And it's a lot more than just SEC preview picking us to lose to UK lol.

Anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but out of those four years, I don't believe they've picked the winner of the East correctly, even once. I'm sure one of them has but I mean majority rule consensus.
Considering they are generally only picking between 4 teams, you would think by law of averages, they would have gotten it right at least once.

Getting over the hump hasn't really led to much of a winning streak over UF in the past. In my lifetime we've only won 2 in a row once, 03-04.

So not exactly crazy to pick against us.

I was born in '54 and was around for the pair in 70 & 71 so I've got you by one set. But in my life time the Vols are 10-26 against the Gators. I indeed get your point.

And again, none of them mean squat. See last year when UT was a pretty heavy favorite (by the media) to win the SEC E.

2 OOC games could play a huge role in the SEC E. If UT or UF goes out and loses their seasons could go south really quick. If both win, it's on track, and we'll see what happens.

When did I ever say any of them meant anything? Or even imply it?😂 I didn't.....

If we lose to UF this year then I'll be shocked. So far Butch has coached against Mac twice. They needed 5 4th down conversions and a kick to sail wide to beat us in the swap 2 years ago. Last year their defense bailed them out of 3 UT red zone possessions and we still put up 38 on them. Over the Butch vs Mac games we have scored 68 points on them. Does that sound like a Spurrier, Meyer, or even a Muschamp D? Butch has Mac's number and we'll see it again this year.

Honestly......ppl don't trust CBJ

Butch has beaten the brakes off UK every year he has been here. Stoops isn't a coach that gives Butch problems. The coaches he struggles with are great defensive minds, mainly Saban, Muschamp, and to an extent Mason. Smart hasn't shown to be anything other than a Saban yes man and a great recruiter so the jury is out on UGA.
