I'm blessed that I have a knack that I can do almost anything. Slice is probably 10 times better than me at carpentry though. I'm too slow and meticulous sometimes. His work looks first rate.

I'm mechanically inclined, and can do what I have to in order to save money when it comes to carpenter work. My dad is very good at it, but I was just always more into mechanical stuff. I did replace part of my flooring that was bad, and it held up. Ha

I bet I have killed 25 brown recluse today. They are friggin everywhere. One piece of tin had 7 underneath it and one board had 6 when I picked up another off the top of it. Lots of critters get a pass from me but not these suckers. I kill every one I see.

That your dozer and bobcat?

Nope. Landowners. He is letting me use them while he is on the road.

I normally just use my truck to pull stuff like that out and hand load it on my trailer.

Awesome. I wouldn't be getting much work done, but I sure as hell would look like I was. Lol

Lol.. when I looked at these buildings I told him that I would have to rent equipment to do everything he wanted done. There is a lot of concrete and cinder block which I normally don't deal with. He said he had a dozer and bobcat I could use so I agreed to take it.

There are 5 buildings on this job, I have already taken 2 down. About to start on the 3rd.

I will get spoiled using his equipment .. made it a little easier.

The landowner is pretty good guy. I can't say who he is.. but he is a country music legend. I was a fan of his growing up. He has surprised me how down to earth he is. He has helped me in any way I have asked. He is like most folks.. he can't believe I do this by myself lol.

He WAS healthy... Now he is in spider heaven. I have seen a couple that were bigger than quarters.. huge for a recluse. And 1 was close to half dollar size. Never saw one that big before.

They are the reason I wear gloves. If I pick something up I don't get bit and so I can squish them with my hand when I spot one and don't have to look for something to do it with. Lol

I was under a house on signal mountain that had more spiders than I'd ever seen in one place. Some were big enough to sell in pet stores.

Today was a rough day. I'm coming down with something but I gritted it out. I cleaned up area that had been a back room on the store. From the bars on the window I think it may have been a jail cell. Lol

Had to get it done so I can pull the chimney down and the lady who bought the brick can come pick up the last of it.

About brown recluses, I had 1 today do something I had never seen before. Sometimes they don't act too scared when disturbed but I have never seen one act super aggressive until today. It actually moved towards my hand .. that's how I spotted it. He then stopped when I removed it. I grabbed a small stick and put it back where my hand was. He raised his front legs, I guess in a warning, and advanced again... Slowly like a tarantula. It was crazy.

So I killed him.

And I have mentioned how large some of these recluses were.. some almost as big as half dollars? Well I saw and killed a half dollar one today. He was huge. I thought he was a different kind of spider at first he was so large. Until I looked at him a little closer.. definite brown recluse.

I can't wait until this building is done lol. Suckers are everywhere.

I bet I saw 20 today. It's crazy at how many there are.

I'll try to get some pics of the job site tomorrow. Been slacking at that but it's basically a pile of wood and debris that I'm cleaning up. Still pulling some good boards out of a few spots but it's pretty much done.

I do have a few older pics of the building. I'll see if I can find some of those to post.

I rented a house once that was infested with them. It was horrible.... stayed there two weeks.... told the landlord to bite me and left. I had to go through every dang piece of clothing and etc. to make sure I didn't take them with me when I left.
