HBO's "Game of Thrones"

At this point we can safely say that they are 100% right. The months old leaked season 7 plot has been dead on so far.

tried to delve into all that. after the scroll up ads and off topic editorials, figured id watch the show.

GoT is good, but im not as rabid as some or most.

Even if this was another LOTR movie, id be into it just cant get to rabid level ...dont you think part of the enjoyment is the anticipation of the episode?

Hindsight is 20/20 but kidnapping a wight just to satisfy Cersei was a brain fart.

IMO they need to convince Cersei and Jaime to join the fight more than ever, now that the dragons are not the trump card they appeared to be. They couldn't have known the Night King would be expecting them and have a trap laid. Jon needs to talk to Bran yesterday. Jon's parentage is now secondary to discovering that Bran's abilities are the only chance they have to get a step ahead of the Night King, or at least keep him from being a step ahead of them at every turn.

The Lannister army is mostly Drogon toast. How much help could they really be? I don't think much of a risk/reward analysis was performed.

Nah..I just want to know. It doesn't spoil seeing it. Suspense actually bothers my nerves. I knew a lot about Yellowstone before I went and had seen a million pictures, it didn't make it any less breathtaking. If you're different then more power to you...to each his own.

That's a good point, but I think they'll need every single fighter they can get because it's going to be that close. The downside, of course, is that Cersei's primary objective will be covertly positioning herself to beat Dany and Jon when/if the Night King is defeated.

I'm trying to ignore the 20% of this episode that was retarded and focus on the 80% that was friggin' awesome.

You're right that's what the witch told her anyway. Wonder if she was wrong?..or maybe lying? I'm still kind as leaning that it's the truth and Dany can't get preggers, but you never know

In the book A Dance with Dragons Dany has a period and a miscarriage. So I would think of some point on the show she will get pregnant.

My biggest issue with the story arc is the total misuse/ignoring of Bran. He can see and know everything, but not a single person is trying to use his knowledge or even talk to him. It makes no sense.

I don't think he sees as clearly and effectively as some people think. I think he sees a lot of fragments and struggles to put everything together.

I can't tell whether this Sansa/Arya conflict will amount to anything legitimate or whether it's just filler time to keep main characters up to something.

According to the 10 minutes worth of spoilers I just watched on youtube - he actually doesn't know EVERYTHING.

Fair enough. Maybe it will be addressed. It just feels like as the show progresses further from the book storylines, it's not being written as well.

As opposed to the source material, which isn't being written at all...

People give GRRM way too much credit and not enough of the blame. People definitely overlook some weak elements in his work and the fact that he has barely moved the plot forward in 17 years.
