Charlottesville white nationalists riots

They did. I recall some being removed and debates from time to time about it over the past 20 years.

But again, quit trying to distract from the real issue, which is not the statutes. Its about the neo nazis and white supremacists marching, itching for a fight, then killing a young woman, and injuring many.

And about Trump going for the alt right bait that this is not about racial hatred from the right, its about just preserving history.

Honestly, if you cannot acknowledge that the anger and resentment and lots of violence on the alt right is a big problem and getting worse, and that YOUR president has been giving excuses for it, there's just not much to discuss.

Since the Charlottesville protests last Saturday 11 people have been murdered in Chicago. As of Wednesday. Perspective.

ANTIFA has been inciting violence for the last year. Setting cars on fire, breaking Windows, attacking people, etc. Where were you then? Just like the majority in media and on the Democratic side, you've encouraged them. You've blamed other people for violence while they came to the scene with mace, flame throwers and weapons. They've called to kill cops, kill whites and yet here you are. Grandstanding out of the other side of your mouth which happens to double as your ass. You're the most clueless mfer on this forum and you don't hide it well at all.

The mother of the victim says she will refuse to speak to trump. It appears that the message carried on CNN was a lot more factually accurate about the true feelings of the victim and her mom than the other sources. Vindication is comforting. It's a feeling many are sharing.

This is the dumbassery of the left. You have an opportunity to have a direct discussion with the President of the United States. THIS IS YOUR DAMN CHANCE. This is your opportunity to let your daughters wishes be heard. But no. Throw a childish tantrum and think anyone gives a ****. next week, we will never hear about this lady again and nothing will even have a chance to change.

As a whole Congress gets low ratings. But when their individual states or districts are polled about how they rate their own Congressman or Senator their ratings are much higher and they keep getting reelected.

Regardless, Trump needs the support of the Senate to get anything done and he's bleeding support.

So each individual congressman is severely disliked by the majority of the country. Got it.

It's the medias job to sow discontent and incite panic

Meanwhile Congress isn't focused on accomplishing anything that actually impacts the majority of Americans.

the media--you are making yourself look bad (AGAIN). The problem is Trump. And as others have noted, the main issue is not his policies--although they are lousy and an issue to progressives--but his character. He's a LOUSY human being--and only the thickest dunderheads, more than a few on this board--seem not to recognize that or acknowledge it. As a human being, he's a disaster--a shameless, graceful vulgarian, as one commentator (and not a liberal one) put it yesterday on the Bloomberg View.

And anybody who doesn't think he's sympathetic to white supremacists is a complete dunce. He's made that clear in a number of ways. Did the media cause all the corporate executives to quit the advisory councils? Pretty much everybody by his low-information base--which likes having a crude nationalist loudmouth as president--knows he's a crackpot extraordinaire.

You're leaving significant parts out.

I cannot remember a president whose own party -- including past presidents, past presidential candidates, governors, members of Congress, business and industry leaders, and even supporting celebrities and donors, have so universally condemned that president.

When was Trump ever desired by the Republican Party? He skunked their preferred candidates and they never wanted him to begin with.

I predicted a scenario like this months ago. The 2 party system has become a temporary 3 party group. D, R, and the Trump party since nobody wanted him to begin with (except of course his voters).

I know it's not a typical conservative value, but to thine own self be true.

spot on. remember, they justify the end with the means. they don't care how fractured they cause this country, they want a divided nation, it makes the fed gov stronger and therefore Marxist and fascism continues to become stronger. these leftist group will continue their violence and the media will continue to support. if you kept a score, the ANTIFA is winning by 4 or 5 touchdowns. yet people like law, mt, luthervol and other fascist types have no problems with this.

this is post of an obviously mental instable person. armchair, keep posting man. you're a great study for psychiatrists.

Liberals are getting closer and closer to eating their own. Only a matter of time before all of their complaints and bellyaching come full circle.

It goes like this:

Q. How do you rate Congress as a whole?
A. They're terrible can't get anything done.

Q. How do you rate your Congressman
A. He's great. I plan to vote for him again.

He's a plant. Soros and Obama are doing their best to cause massive civil unrest in this country. The hope is that there is a rebellion of sorts so that martial law can be declared and rights can be taken away.

Trump having to declare martial law would prove beyond all doubt the idiocy of the left. The alt left would be on top of the list that the misguided children and friends would clean house on.

How is he sympathetic to racists when he's denounced them? Is it your position that any person who opposes removing Confederate memorials is a racist? I'm trying to figure this out because, on a personal level, I like the monuments and don't want to see them moved, altered, or destroyed. Those monuments honor my ancestors, who fought bravely on a losing side and were subsequently pardoned by the U.S. government and had all their rights of citizenship restored. I'm not a member of any group on the SPLC list, or even SCV for that matter. But in my heart of hearts I'm good with the monuments and I figure that I tolerate a lot of other people's nonsense in the public square so they can suck it up and tolerate mine. Do these opinions and feelings qualify me as a racist by the current definition?

Not sure if it has been posted somewhere already, but this is a fantastic read.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/08/17/...for-trump-and-i-sorely-regret-it.html?mcubz=0

I think everyone from both sides will find certain parts enlightening.
Sounds like a guy who's scared he'll never be invited to another Manhattan cocktail party. I really don't get this. Trump denounced the hate groups, pointed out that not everyone who was there to show support for the monuments is part of one of those hate groups, and also pointed out that the counter-protesters engaged in violence. What part of that is untrue, obtuse, or racist?

Yes. If he is not yours, he sucks.

Thus each individual official is viewed as suck by the majority of the nation.

Math!

Good thing Martin Luther King didn't take that phrase to heart. Or the Jews of Egypt. Or the Patriots vs Atlanta.

Hey Mr. King, you're black. Just accept that you'll always be lesser

I don't think you understood what I meant. I don't believe that refusing to meet with a man whom you feel is repugnant is the same as giving up.

I think is was more than just the Charlottesville debacle. He was looking at the totality of his past comments and actions and adjusting his views accordingly. I saw him interviews and he is brilliant. I don't agree with most of what he says, but what he says is well thought out with applied reason and logic.

He makes a good case for his initial support of Trump and he makes a good case for changing his mind. Intellect and reason were the driving forces behind both decisions.
