Charlottesville white nationalists riots

Not to be combative, you might see from my post history, numbers fascinate me in discussions like this. Obviously not all who were still alive attended the reunion. What would y'all think that 53k would be as a percentage of survivors? A quarter? Less?
There were 165,000 on the battlefield those 3 days. Over 7,000 died, and 10,000 went missing (maybe deserters?). So, maybe 150,000 were around on July 4, 1863.

Infant mortality is what drags that number down. Do you really think people lived to 49 at the turn of the century?

I'll be honest and say I was not expecting an infant mortality rate of almost 42%. I felt confident about that 59 number before that. The twilight years of 45 was more of a would've been a better thought out joke around 2 beers ago.

If he stops acting like a petulant child and begins behaving like a President, then the overkill will disappear.

It's quite a symbiotic relationship, you know?

The press conference that had LG and others frothing at the mouth about the other day started off innocently enough about the infrastructure bill. First questions? About his comments from Saturday. Next set of questions? Whether he was going to fire Bannon. More questions about Virginia. Only one, count it, one question about the infrastructure proposal.

Don't give me this "he brings it on himself" ****. The media practically poked him in the eye trying to elicit a response the other day.

Pro sports teams jumping on board as well; they must all be part of the alt-left:

Quote:
Hall of Fame NFL coach Tony Dungy is spearheading an initiative to move a Confederate statue in Tampa, and he has received the support of the Rays, Buccaneers and Lightning.

Buccaneers - Pirates - Vikings. Now, those are namesakes to be real proud of. OK to glorify pirates, pillagers, plunderers, murders, etc but vilify a soldier; yeah, that makes sense.

Similar reasons - R's tired of politicians being wishy washy on principle issues such as immigration, ACA, etc.

Look at the competition - Jeb was never going to get there. Cruz was smarmier than Trump and had a short history of ineffectiveness in governing. Rubio was probably the best option but he was late in breaking through.

To get at your implied point - Trump didn't out racist the other candidates; he talked tough which is something the R base had been begging it's candidates to do for years.

If any one of those had been the Rep nominee, Hiliary would be president today.

He is the President of the United States. He can rise above. And should rise above as the leader of the Free World.

[QUOTE“On my personal Facebook, I put up a statement saying, ‘I really hate Trump. He’s causing trauma and nightmares.’ That was my original post,” she said. “A whole bunch of people responded to that.”

You liberals must be proud. I am sure many liberals on here would secretly agree

Not to be pessimistic, but ending racism is like Big Oil looking for sustainable energy sources or cancer drug companies looking for a cure. There are groups of people that live and breathe off the hatred of racism and couldn't survive without it.

Yep, eradicating racism would end the Democratic Party.
