Charlottesville white nationalists riots

The campaign spokesman for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign compared allied forces during War World II to Antifa protesters Tuesday night.

Brian Fallon, who served as Clinton’s spokesman during her failed 2016 campaign, tweeted out a picture of Allied Forces invading Normandy.

How are these comparable? It's not just about them being unpleasant memories.

I've never been there, but I don't think Pearl Harbor has a statue of Yamamoto.

.

People are saying that the left wants to erase history and that is not true. Even those unpleasant historical sites will remain as a reminder of what happened. OTOH, we don't need statues of confederate generals at court houses to remind us of history.

Anyway, that is the way I feel about it.

His claim to fame is commanding the Confederate Army.

Still, the mental gymnastics you have to employ to say "tear down anything related to Robert E. Lee, keep anything from the Founding Fathers because it is different" must take a lot of flexibility.

Actually his claim to fame is being the best military commander of his generation.

I am what the left would probably consider a Confederate sympathizer. What the confederacy stood for is quite a bit different than how we view it now. However, I blame the white nationalists and KKK for this. They turned the Confederate flag, which was a symbol of states rights, into a symbol of hate. It's their fault this is happening.

What people aren't getting about the lastest riot is the threat to our right to free speech. The threat is real. If the counter protesters had ignored those idiot nazi wannabees and not shown up armed and armoured with the sole purpose of shutting down those inbred retards protected right to have a rally where they just talk to each other because nobody ever shows up to their lame ass rallies and the press wasn't already camped out ready to film the latest reality TV show brawl, we wouldn't be at each other's throats. Stop for one second and think about it please. It's like the Jerry Springer Show for real and for ratings and we are aall being played.

Montreal has no place for the memory of Jefferson Davis, president of the Confederate States of America.

On Tuesday, a downtown Hudson’s Bay Company store took down a plaque that honored Davis’s stay in Montreal, when he was the guest of a Canadian printer named John Lovell. Montreal was a favorite sight for Confederate spies during the Civil War and while Canada was officially neutral during that conflict, a large swath of the population sympathized with the Confederacy and thousands even volunteered to fight for it.

The plaque is just one of thousands of that the UDC originated. The one in Montreal went largely unnoticed for decades and was removed after a handful of people complained after the Charlottesville riot, claiming it celebrated white supremacy.

Hell has frozen over. I agree with you.

This is why I say Antifa is more dangerous than the KKK. No one supports the KKK (other than it's members and sympathizers).

The Left buys into the Antifa BS about fighting fascism and actively promotes it even though it is the pathway to fascism itself.

Where is the end to this?

Take down all the monuments. Rename all the buildings and parks and military bases.

Then what?

It doesn't seem too far fetched that people are next.

You want to run for public office? Ancestry.com says your great great great great grandfather owned slaves. Or someone in your family fought for the confederacy. Forget it.

Who among us is going to pass this test of righteousness? There is not one monument, plaque, park, or building dedicated to someone who committed no sins. If you dig long enough everyone is a scoundrel. I do not see the point in this endgame, and I don't think those pushing the agenda do either. There is no perfect person, so this crusade to purge our public spaces and history books of "bad people" will leave both empty.

Yes, by all means, let the Nazis march and spew their hatred unchecked and unchallenged. And let's have leadership that excuses it and questions why people would ever be concerned about it.

You should fit right in since you support antifa with them being anti-Semitic and all.

Chairman Mao's CULTURAL REVOLUTION has been adopted by the American Left to purge all American history they deem offensive, with the full support of the news and entertainment industries.

"I joined the Manufacturing Jobs Initiative in January to advocate for policies that align with our values and encourage even stronger investment and job growth – in order to make the United States stronger, healthier and more prosperous for all people. After careful consideration, I believe the initiative is no longer an effective vehicle for 3M to advance these goals. As a result, today I am resigning from the Manufacturing Advisory Council."

Inge Thulin, CEO of 3M, today. That's seven that have quit. So far.
