This thread is a clusterf**k. Hatred and violence from any side, group, person, whatever, it's wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but hate accomplishes little, if anything, other than destruction. Both sides were at fault. Just because you despise the white nationalists' message more doesn't make them more at fault. Until they start acting in a violent manner, which is what erupted with the presence of the counter-protesters, they are entitled to speak their hate. Maybe they did show up looking for a fight. But then again, the counter-protesters showed up willing to give them that fight. They were all wrong. Argue all you want whether or not they are equally to blame, but in my mind, they are. They were all seeking confrontation. All of them knew what the likely result would be. Why act surprised and outraged when that's the result you get? For those who believe the counter-protesters did no wrong, just continue to pretend like you're on some moral high ground. You're not. Everyone sank to the same level when they actively started trying to harm each other.
