Cool, keep wearing out those exceptions. Also Prescott has played 1 season, might want to pump those brakes before you put him in the same category as those. Many QBs were supposed to be awesome after a good rookie year and burned out quickly.
No man, its not just that 1 throw. It was 1 example because I happened to just see it that morning. Dobbs made throws like that more than once.So your opinion of Dobbs comes down to one play?
The fact he's 2nd all-time in TDs and 3rd all-time in yards in school history doesn't matter? The fact he averaged more yards per game and more TDs per game than Peyton Manning for his career at Tennessee doesn't matter? The fact he led the best scoring offense in school history last year doesn't matter?
You're saying Dobbs won't make it as an NFL QB based on one bad throw?
That's not very good analysis of a player's projection from college to the NFL. Don't be surprised when you're abysmally wrong on this projection because you based it on one throw.
You could say the same about Tom Brady. He went in the 6th round. Nobody thought Antonio Brown would be any good either as a 6th rounder. Joe Montana went in the 3rd round. Dak Prescott in the 4th round and so on.
People's opinions have been proven wrong time and time again. Just because you say something doesn't make it so. Even if the overwhelming majority of people agree with you that doesn't make it true.
Dobbs went in the 4th round so most people agree with you. I disagree with most people on Dobbs. I think he displayed the arm talent in college to not only start in the NFL but to be elite. We'll just have to wait and see who is right.
Watching the Lions-Colts preseason game and my guy Kenny Golladay is flashing big time. I got to him late in the process but once I saw his film I was blown away. Ended up pushing him to becoming my #3 rated WR after Corey Davis and JuJu Smith-Schuster. I thought he had pro bowl potential. Well he's showing that he's definitely got pro bowl ability today with a dominating performance thus far. He reminds me a lot of Brandon Marshall.
So be on the lookout for this name. Kenny Golladay. He's gonna blow up this year.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut.
I have a feeling my rankings on that first page are gonna look pretty good in 2019. It takes about 3 years to accurately judge a player and draft class. We'll know in 2019 if my rankings were prophetic or not. All I know is I feel really good about this class and my rankings. A lot of guys who have done well in camp thus far are guys I was high on.
Brad Kaaya has looked really good so far. Very poised. Has gone through his progressions. Very accurate. He isn't mobile and doesn't have a big arm but I love his potential. I feel really good right now about rating him the #2 QB in this class before the draft.
Right now the 3 best QBs in this class are:
1. Joshua Dobbs (Steelers)
2. Brad Kaaya (Lions)
3. Deshaun Watson (Texans)
Really like what I've seen from these 3 so far.
The same Watson you had labled as a bust and not in your top 50 picks?
This isn't the strongest QB class. 2 years of decent production by Watson might be good enough for #3 on the list.
The only guys I feel good about in terms of long term potential is Dobbs and Kaaya.
Watson's star will shine bright but not for very long. Sorta like Vince Young. Remember he was ROY and looked incredible early on before falling apart.
Dobbs #1 overall player ans Sutton at #4 lol that's all I needed to see
Just curious why not Derek Barnett? He actually has all pro potential
It wasn't because of talent that Vince Young bust. It was because he was dumber than a box of rocks.
