All I can say is I struggled to keep my business open for the whole eight years of the Obama administration and literally within a couple of weeks of Trump's victory, our inquiries for new sales trippled or quadrupled overnight. Those leads have turned into 2-3 times of the sales that we experienced over any time period during the Obama years. And, we are now losing sales because we are so far out on delivery. I now have the problem of trying to find qualified people.

I don't want to go into a lot of detail because what we do is very unique and it would be very easy to put 2 and 2 together. With all the crazies on this board (Armchair, VP, cough, cough), anonymity is something that I think is important.

Having said that, we manufacture a high-end luxury product. Very custom. We ship all over the US.

Like I said, I don't know whether Trump being elected or just the fact that Obama is out and Clinton isn't in but within a couple of weeks of the election and our leads went from Very low to extremely high. To the point it's hard to keep up with them all.

Could it be that the people that are already in the class where they can afford your product were a bit giddy because they figure Donny is going to help them out some more?

I'm sure that the confidence level in that Trump would be more favorable would play into it for sure. Regardless, I find it hard not to correlate the election results to our astronomical increase in interest in our product.

More good news about this economy. There is a disconnect between the stock market and the real economy. When will some of you sheep start to realize this?

Did you also see that most of the new openings wiill be "international"/"global"?

Internationally, DineEquity plans Applebee’s franchisees to “develop between 20 and 30 new restaurants globally, the majority of which are expected to be international openings.” It expects IHOP franchisees to “develop between 80 and 95 restaurants globally, the majority of which are expected to be domestic openings.”

It does, but in my opinion, that is a mistake on their part. The volume and the market isn't there. Their thinking seems to be that some of their under-performing stores are in the wrong locations. I just think that iHop has to realize that they have a specific niche... a niche that was popular with Baby Boomers and older generations. There isn't much brand recognition for iHop with Millennials. Same could be said for Applebee's, TGIF's, and Ruby Tuesdays.

The trend is fast casual. None of those fit that model.
